Spent a couple hours here before Monday nights game. The Sundevil burger is an absolute must try! I’m trying to think if I’ve ever had anything else here for lunch?!? Nope! The service is a tad slow, it was a game day so it was super busy though. I guess I’d just recommend the restaurant bring in more help for those couple hours before the game. It’s walking distance to the stadium and they have valet. Come try the Sundevil burger, I think it even beat Bobby Flay on Throwdown. It’s crazy good!

So mixed review. The location is great if your going to the stadium. What i dont like… i dont like that they do not offer the happy hour on game day. I dont like that they increase the parking fees on game day. Its not enough for the owners to get extra business on game day they want to charge you more. Seems greedy and its a major turn off. Activities are expensive. You have increased foot traffic but thats not enough they have to be greedy and make it more expensive on game day. Wont likely be back on a game day. Service was so so. The thing is there are lots of employees but not sure they are working. Our table had to flag someone down several times. The garlic chicken wings were very sweet and arrived at our table luke warm. Drinks so so. Sent one back the other was overly Sweet and the Bus boy took it before it was empty. The wings tasted boiled and microwaved. They were chewy tough and rubbery. Yuck. Only good thing i had was mahi mahi tacos I would suggest a different venue

This place was great. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside on the patio. The large umbrellas came in handy as the sun started to set. The staff was happy to adjust them for us. I started with a cup of clam chowder. For my main course I chose the scallops. The food was cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their meals and atmosphere was great also. After seeing others pictures, I wish we would have had room for dessert!

Gotta say. If you can make a perfect burger 39 mins before you close, my hat is off to you! Check out the catch, great vibe and friendly servers. You have to come check this place out!

It was our first time at the catch. Overall, very satisfied with our experience dining here. Our server Stephanie was helpful and very friendly. The OMG burger was good, and really huge. It is worth the 25 minute wait for them to make it. We could not hang with this burger. We ended up taking half of it home! lol. My son was really happy. Appetizers were good too, I liked their Dragon Calamari with shishito peppers. What I really like is the bananas foster and how a chef came out to us and prepared this tableside. That was really cool. They dont do reservations if your dining in for the omg burger lol

I was there for a private event on Saturday lunch time which was when the restaurant was not open. I can only review the service we received for our private event and the service was great. I can tell management did not bring in enough servers for our event, one waiter and one busboy for almost 80 of us. The food was delicious. I was later told it was recently bought out by Taps from Brea which is one of my favorite restaurant. Conveniently located by the freeway offramp and has its own parking lot.

Came here with about 15 coworkers before a game we had to promise the woman at the front desk we would order 10 or more full meals if we wanted to be seated in the back. We were all dressed in button up shirts and missing neck tattoos like the rest of the people in the bar area which should have been a hint to her. I got the wahoo which was cold and overcomes. Most of my coworkers ordered steaks which were overlooked as well. Honestly the best part of my meal was the Brussel sprouts which were amazing and j would order again. After we left with a $ 1,300 bill we paid $ 25 per car for valet. Common sense is something this place is lacking. 3 stars for location and good Brussel sprouts. Next time I go to a game I would rather get Panda Express and nicer seats.

I am in town for work and decided to give the boss a break on Über fares and walked 1.8 miles from the Anaheim Hilton to the Catch and I’m glad that I did. I arrived thirsty, sat myself at the bar and was recommended the TAPS Brewery Cream Ale. It was delicious. I did not see Fish and Chips on the menu and was told that it had been discontinued(I read some good Unilocal reviews on that meal). The bartender helped me decide between the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Chef’s Catch of the Day. I’m glad we chose the Catch of the Day – Covina on top of potatoes and grilled Brussels sprouts in a wine and curry reduction sauce. It was lots of food, all cooked perfectly. I was too stuffed to walk back to the hotel, so Über picked me up. This place is great! The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the ambiance was a little sterile. Everything else was top notch!

The Catch is 10 minutes away from Disney/Convention center so it’s far enough to have parking not be difficult. It’s across the parking lot from Angels Stadium. The place was packed when we went but we found a high top in the bar area. We each ordered 2 beers, along with a salad and appetizer. That turned out to be plenty of food! The beers were good and the food was good as well. We had the wedge salads and I had the sauteed calamari and my friend had the cerviche. We both left content :-)

Great location! Walking distance from Angels Stadium! The restaurant is very elegant with a large bar and plenty of seating available. They have TV’s and a very nicely decorated outdoor seating area. This is the place to be after or during a baseball game. Items ordered: Large Crab nachos, sliders and soup. The service was fast but not the greatest. We had ordered the crab nachos, but instead they brought us regular nachos. We assumed the crab was underneath the cheese, but it was never there so we flagged the waiter. She took our plate of nachos and just added crab on top. She apologized for the mistake but instead of bringing us out new nachos, she just added the crab on top. But Anyways, we continued eating our meal and noticed the sliders were tiny. Definitely not big enough to share with someone. I had no complaints with the soup. We were ready to leave, so the waiter ran our card and she accidently charged us double the cost. Fortunately, we noticed but it was a big mistake by the waiter. She apologized and got the problem resolved, but they have to be careful when it comes to credit cards. Overall, this joint is very nice and has the potential to be great. Im giving them 3 stars because the service could’ve been better.

This place was awesome !!! First I would recommend the table side Caesar salad… they say it’s for two people but truly could be for 4 – 5 people, you pick the ingredients to make the Caesar dressing… this was a first for me. The lobster bisque delicious. Warm bread brought to table. They had a surf and surf special that was the Chilean seabass and scallops, definitely made to share. The shisito peppers are tastey but can get pretty spicy. Seabass was cooked to perfection. They get you with offering you carrot cake before you start your main course because it takes thirty minutes to make. We ordered it and it was out of this world but we were so stuffed that we couldn’t finish. I highly recommend this restaurant and would visit again when in town.

The food and service is wonderful. I had the spot prawns with fingerling potatoes and broccoli. The prawns melted in my mouth. Our server, Kelley was awesome, she did a great job. We sat in the bar and watched basketball games. The desserts are amazing, I had the smores cheesecake with chocolate sauce. We also had the carrot cake, it is baked to order, it takes 25 minutes but well worth the wait. The icing and pecans are put on the table. The cake is brought out in a skillet. It is near Angel Stadium and there is garage parking.

We came for restaurant week: I asked the hostess if they have the menu for restaurant week and she looked at me funny and pointed at their regular menu and said there’s the menu. I asked again for the restaurant week menu and she replied its right there in front you. Well that made us feel special and stupid. She didn’t know what we were talking about. We were just going to dine in even if they weren’t doing restaurant week. Before I forget my menu was filthy. It had someone’s left over stuck on it, Eeew! Anyway, we got seated right away so that was awesome. So we asked our server about restaurant week menu and she replied«oh we are not doing that tonight because there’s a convention going on. Let me ask the manager.» She left to ask the manager. She came back with the restaurant week menu and informed us the manager said its no problem… that was cool they honored it. I guess their kitchen wasn’t ready for a couple that wants the restaurant week menu because our server kept saying oh the kitchen isn’t ready for your menu so it’s taking awhile. Anyway majority of the food we ordered was salty. Duck wings, spicy meatballs, short rib and the sea bass. We were still eating our dinner and out comes our desert. The server just simply said, «I didn’t know how long it will take them to get your desert ready so I ordered them in advance and it looks like you guys need boxes» DUUUUDDDEEEWEWERESTILLEATINGOURMAINDISH!!! we don’t need boxes! l and we ordered ice cream. So it was melting while we tried to finish our main entrée. That gesture made us rush to finish our food so we can get to our desert. I guess they want us out of there. My water was never refilled. We looked around and the other tables were always being checked and their water refilled on a regular basis. Well they do provide excellent customer service. The problem was it wasn’t for us! The bottom line is we felt that we didn’t deserve to be there because we weren’t ordering the food full price and we didn’t look like their normal clientele… wealthy. Not a very welcoming place. Not coming back here. I refuse to come back here and be treated like dirt! We should’ve eaten at flame broiler that would’ve been healthier. The Good news is they validate parking! Only reason they got two stars is because they«allowed us in to enjoy restaurant week» and parking validation !

I’ve been here several times before Angel’s or Ducks’ games for drinks and happy hour and it was extremely crowded but fine; Someone has to get there really early if you want a place to sit. I was surprised the 1st couple times by how our bill got so big so quick. I prefer going to some of the places a little further from the stadiums because it’s not as crowded, easier parking and you can still walk. We were here in a private room for a work function last week, with lunch, and they took good care of us. Everyone was happy with their fish or steak and all the appetizers were good. Atmosphere, staff and food were all really good. So why 3 stars? The older lady at the front desk wasn’t real helpful, and maybe a little rude, when I asked her where I can lock up my bike. I brought it into the private room and hoped that she didn’t see it because she really wanted me to lock it up in the back somewhere where nobody could see it. It’s not like I was going to lock it to a table or across the front door but we were about to drop a lot of money on the 10 of us and she really couldn’t be put out by something as trivial as where to put my bike.

The 5 stars reflects both the food and service. It was a slow day(a Monday lunch) so service wasn’t hard to nail but our server was very nice, and so were all the hosts when we walked in. Our server checked on us making sure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. My boyfriend and I both got the salad/sandwich/soup combo which is great. The chicken salad and BLT were both awesome and the lobster bisque is amazing(no lobster chunks like they do back int the northeast, but the taste is phenomenal). And it seems they make their dressing in house for the salad which always tastes better. The food didn’t wow me to the point where I wanted to run home and Unilocal about it but it was very good and I would certainly return or recommend it. What brought me to leave a review was how amazing the manager handled my issue. It appears when we paid my card got rang up twice. I noticed a couple days later when checking my statement so I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. He was unavailable at the moment but called me back within 45 minutes. I explained to him what happened and he was immediately apologetic and went into investigative mode to figure out what happened. He went through his reports, ran some audits until he could pinpoint what happened and explained everything throughly to me. He evem asked how my meal and service/experience was while dining while we waited for some of the reports to process. And as he promised on the phone, I was refunded within 2 – 3 business days. Never have I worked with someone who was so genuinely concerned about their guest satisfaction and to me that is just plain amazing. I’ve worked in the service industry(and my boyfriend does currently) so it’s really nice to see when managers take the time to insure their guest is happy. Kudos to you, The Catch, you’ve got a great staff from start to finish(including the kitchen because as I said the meal was also delicious!) Thanks again.

Big trade shows mean big business for nearby restaurants and hefty tabs with the corporate cards. Last night was no exception. I was treated to dinner by a valued vendor and it was my first time at The Catch. Back in the«olden days», there was football in Orange County. The LA Rams played across the street at Anaheim Stadium and The Catch was THESPOT for pre and postgame eats and drinks. Sometimes old is not classic… old is just old… and they rightfully demolished the place and replaced it with a new pristine building a few hundred yards away. Nothing remarkable about the place or the layout. They have valet parking for $ 7 and a huge round bar that dominates the entry. Service was slow on this busy convention night and they took forever to bring the drinks to us sitting at the bar. Once seated, we were treated quite well. A big table for 12 was soon loaded with heaping cold seafood towers, large bowls of calamari and plates of cold shrimp and scallop mixture over chips. Cocktails and wine were flowing. The seafood tower was very decadent and the quality was quite good. Lobster tails, shrimp, mussels, oysters and lots of sauces. The calamari was well prepared and tasty and the chip and seafood dish was also quite good. With all of the booze my taste buds were weakening so I can’t say anything more than, «it was pretty damn good». They are known for the Chilean sea bass(so the waiter told us) and it was wonderful. Truthfully, I was so full from the appetizers that I was not really hungry for the main course and dessert was not going to happen for me either. Some others indulged and they did look terrific. They do a lot of tableside preparations as a floor show. Their Caesar salad and bananas foster looked incredible. I’m not sure what the dinner tab came out to but I’m glad I was not the one paying. These decadent dinners offer a gluttonous expedition and are a real treat. The Catch looks like a great spot on slower nights for more traditional dining, as well.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices. Very expensive to eat and drink here but the food is amazing and it’s a pleasant experience. Great atmosphere, staff, etc. We were there last night and our waiter was Justin. He did a fantastic job and is definitely an asset for this restaurant to have on staff. The place was packed due to a convention in town but we walked in with a reservation and literally were seated right away. Our food arrived in the perfect amount of time as did the«half hour» carrot cake. I generally don’t even like carrot cake but this stuff! I could have eaten the entire thing!

Meh. We came here bc we had a coupon for buy one get one free when u buy 2 drinks. I got the lunch special caesar salad, lobster bisque and half BLATT(blt + turkey and avocado). You can tell they used anchovies in the caesar dressing, but it was too much. I do like the amount of lemon they put in the dressing. The bread roll was fresh, but they only gave us one and I ate it before I got my bisque, which was way creamer and had too much salt and butter. It tasted like I was eating a stick of butter. I couldn’t finish it. The sandwich was OK. The drinks were about $ 4 each. We got a hot tea(old english breakfast) and a pomegranate green ice tea. Our bill was about $ 30. Nice ambiance. Parking was a bit of a hassle.

Before the concert, I stopped in for a little something to eat, and drinks. I ordered an appetizer and a soup and I was very very pleased. I’ve never been here before but I would definitely come again for a more substantial meal. My verdict on the French onion soup… It’s perhaps the most delicious tasting, with every spoon full I shoveled in, of French onion soup that I ever remember having to date! It wasn’t overly salty, it wasn’t overly caramelized sweet, it was just pretty perfect in my opinion with every bite. This gets a solid«A» in my opinion. The other item I had was the province calamari. I don’t usually order calamari, but this too was delicious, in a buttery blend of wine and herbs. It was just a real satisfying experience. I would give this a solid B+. I like the joint. It’s a great spot to kill some time if you need to before a concert at the Grove.

The Catch is a classy lounge/bar type place. Food is expensive. There’s a dining area, but I think they close it after certain times. You can still dine at the bar or outside. The host is welcoming, and the servers are friendly. Parking is in the lot behind the restaurant, which is hard to find. I didn’t see any signs for the restaurant itself saying«The Catch», but I saw the parking lot right away. There’s valet, but you really don’t need it. There is plenty of parking. Several Unilocalers raved about the OMG burger… but seeing how huge it was, my friend and I decided that it would not be the best idea for a party of two. The next time I bring a big group of people here, I will try it out. We opted for some seafood instead. My Chilean sea bass was excellent… at first. The first few bites were absolutely delicious — tender fish meat, very flavorful. When I got to the end, it was chewy and not as good anymore. My friend’s scallops, on the other hand, was amazing. He let me try a bit of everything — the scallops, baby carrots, pork belly — this is a must try! I believe the market price was ~$ 30. This would be a nice place to take a date, but for a normal dinner with friends? Nah. I’ll go to BJ’s for a decent burger.
