Made appointments for myself and three friends we showed up and there was one nail technician for all of us. She already had someone there too that she had just started on. We waited about fifteen minutes to see if any more staff was coming and realized they weren’t so we left and went else where. Horrible service!

My gel manicure started to peel off two days later! I had to wait half an hour to start my manicure, even though I had an appointment, and some walk-​in customers went before me. Overall customer service was poor, as was the quality of the manicure. Go to Amherst Nails instead.

Came in here during my lunch break for a gel manicure. Not one customer was there, and now I have an idea as to why they were empty. In removing my gel from the previous manicure, they dipped my hands in nail polish remover and tried to scrape the gel off with a cuticle remover. I’ve been getting gel nails for several years and haven’t never seen anything like this before. I asked if they could do the tin foil removal and they became extremely hostile with me. I showed them where they had damaged my nail from tearing off the gel in the wrong way and they said «oh well thats how we do it here.» More hostility. I ended up leaving because I felt so uncomfortable. Definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend for gel nails.

This nail salon took my friend and I for a last minute appointment at the end of the day on a Sunday, which was the beginning of our great experience there. My friend had lived half a human life without ever having a pedicure until this appointment. I however have traveled a lot and used to mess up my feet for a living so we kind of evened out because I regularly get pedicures. This place was fantastic. I wish I knew the name of the nail tech I had because she could be a neurosurgeon with that steady hand and a reiki master with the trance powers she has– I was so relaxed. All I can say is she’s probably in her twenties, and has a defined bright red streak in her hair. I bet everyone here is great though and the spa pedicures we got rearranged our brains for the better and our feet look great too. Don’t pass this place up.

I’ve been to this salon several times; the service and pedicure are perfectly fine (by local standards). Today I was inspired to write a negative review, however, because of the way I saw the nail technicians treat a customer. The two technicians on duty were each working on a customer; there was one customer waiting for service; two of us were drying our nails. All five customers in the store were white. A young African American woman came in and was browsing the nail polish colors; the technicians told her that there would be at least an hour’s wait. Their tone was so frosty and unwelcoming – and the claim was so absurd (there was only one other customer waiting for service, after all) – that it became clear that they were using an excuse to turn her away. As this shocking realization dawned on her, she turned and slowly left the store, silent and dignified. I am disgusted at the technicians’ display of racism and even more disgusted with myself for not having the presence of mind in the moment to jump up and call them out on their unacceptable behavior. I wish I could apologize to the young lady who was so wronged today; I am ashamed that I hid behind my white privilege and did not act to right an injustice that was unfolding right before my eyes. I will be boycotting this salon from now on, not because of their service, but because of their treatment of that young woman.

I love them!!! They did the best work on my sensitive nails no pain!!! Perfect! I was in and out in one hour! They tell you how to care for your nails the proper way so they don’t chip peel or anything. Prices are very very reasonable in the area because most places for first fill is $ 40 or more! I highly recommend them!

I really wish I could give zero stars. I’ve been here a few times and they’ve done a decent job for being so inexpensive. However, this time really has ruined their image in my book.
When pushing back my cuticles and trimming them, the lady cut my skin on not one, but two fingers and never said anything, just kept going. Finally I said, ‘look, I think I really need to leave. Never have I ever started bleeding during a manicure.‘
This lady would not say anything, she whispered some things in Chinese to another woman who then apologized on her behalf. They said it would be fine, but my thumb was literally pouring blood — not a small cut. I ended up going to the ER to get it professionally cleaned and bandaged.
I have no tolerance for places like this, I will never go here again and will disgrace anyone else from going as well. Never again.

I hate to write a bad review but I had an awful pedicure! I wanted to get a mani and pedi, but the pedicure took so long. The other ladies working there seemed very nice and friendly, but the woman that did my pedicure was totally unfriendly. It was the worst pedicure I’ve ever had. I could have done better myself. The polish was wrinkling up, like she had painted on top of a wet nail OR they must cut their nail polish with something. Someone did offer to fix the polish the next day, but I was going out of town. When I left, I had nail polish on my skin, wrinkling nail polish, and just a bad pedicure. I hope the others here do a better job. I think they should have offered to not charge me for the pedicure.

My little sister & I love this nails salon. The owner and her mom did a great job. They are friendly and professional. Love the massage!!! Will come back again.

I love the gel manicure and pedicure Elegant nails offers. They have a lot of colors and they really let me know how to wear the gels. They told me that I shoudl have the gels put on and then after they have grown out, make sure to let my nails rest for 3 weeks so that they didn’t get to thin. I appreciated the information and I love going back there.

A nice, casual place, not snooty/​fancy. Took a couple of 7 year olds in for diversionary manicures and the women were really sweet with them and I got a good pedicure at the same time. Prices very reasonable, $ 8 each for kid’s manicure, $ 23 for pedi. I tipped lavishly for their kindness.
A great outing!

I was passing through Amherst on a road trip and stopped here. They were GREAT! I got a pedicure and an eyebrow wax.
They did a great job shaping my eyebrows! MUCH better then what I usually get at my salon back at home. And the prices were reasonable.
Definitely recommend this place!

I am a regular customer at Elegant Nail Spa. Jenny, the manager is an amazing nail tech… she does my acrylic nails perfectly every time. The establishment is very clean and orderly. Lots of choices for nail polishes and the new pedicure chairs are gorgeous and comfy.

I’m baffled that this place doesn’t have any reviews yet! The nail techs here are the sweetest around and they do a bangin’ job on the mani’s.
Greatest selection of OPI and best of all, they offer the Axxium gel manicure which I am now obsessed with (supposed to last 2 – 3 weeks without chipping!) after my first application today. It only cost $ 20 for the gel mani (very reasonable as they charge upwards of $ 50 in Boston), and they give a 10% student discount.
A mani with regular polish is like $ 12, so the pricing is good. Plenty of magazines to read while you wait too. Love it.
