If I could give them more than 5 stars i easily would. Their waxing jobs there are the most phenomenal I’ve ever had in my life! I first started going to Purele for threading jobs when they were still located in Amherst center. Purima and Elena do an amazing job. When they moved out to Hadley I started getting everything else waxed with them and found it to be super cheap– they do such a good job! I will see everyone that works there because I know they only hire the best.

I am so happy my friend at work recommended Purele! Jessica does my nails and they are the best they have ever been! They last a good 3 weeks and her attention to detail is admirable! Purnima threaded my eyebrows on the first visit too and it looked amazing! Bring cash if you can.

I had a nice pedicure there. They don’t have a ton of options for polish, so you may want to consider bringing your own. Would’ve been nice if they had offered water or something to drink, as is customary in most places, but I went there for the pedicure with paraffin add-​on and was very pleased. Looking forward to going back.

Never Again! If you are looking for a quality Brazilian, go elsewhere. First, they use mostly strip wax, not hard wax. Second, there are lights positioned to shine in your eyes so you can’t monitor what is going on. Third, I’ve had more friendly feeling from dentists and Traffic Citation Officers. Here is the rough part. All of that would have been forgivable had the results been anywhere near ok. My skin was red for two days, I have lots bumps already (after 3 days!!!) and many hairs that were not pulled but snapped, which is the worst for grow in. Some areas don’t even look like they have been waxed. I also have one pore that is so traumatized from the tweezer picking that it looks like a massive blood clot has formed. I had read the bad reviews but took a chance based on the good ones… even made sure to get an appointment with one of the owners. You can’t blame the staff here if this is the standard set by the owner.
I will not be returning, needless to say.

I am going to try to repost this review as I want to save any ladies out there from having an experience like I did. My last review was ‘flagged’ and removed from Unilocal because I mentioned the name of the technician I saw. So I will disclose that information in hopes this review will stay present on their page.
Yikes. BRAZILIAN FROM HELL. I had the worst Brazilian two months ago.
When I walked into the room I should’ve known right then to walk away– there was either a wet spot or a stain on the sheet I was supposed to sit on. Eek– but I was so swayed by great Unilocal reviews I ignored this little alarm. It was my first time at this particular salon and there was really no explanation to what she was doing or what their process was.
The reviews said it was a mix of strip wax and hard wax. The strip wax was used for 95% of the wax and was extremely painful. The technician who is said to be one of their best, had to go over areas MANY times leading to lots of irritation and she didn’t pull the strips quickly so it was extremely painful. Also, she needed my assistance constantly to pull my skin taut. I am not one for having to be involved with the experience. In all of my past Brazilians that were successful at other businesses, I have never had to physically help do the job.
The hard wax was only used once or twice on the inner areas and when she did this she literally pulled it off and showed me the wax with my hair follicles stuck to it. I am sorry but I really don’t need the wax put in my face for show and tell.
I wanted to be ok with it all because afterwords I had the green tea facial and I was overall pleased with that part of my appointment. But unfortunately, I went home in so much pain from my Brazilian and this morning there were so many stray hairs she had missed as well as my skin is super irritated. I went home and felt upset I had even tipped because I felt awkward not tipping but was really disappointed by it all.
Find a salon that uses only hard wax– you will be happy that you did. I am confused why there are so many excellent reviews for this place but wanted to put it out there so someone else isn’t tempted by the low prices and great Unilocal reviews, only to leave feeling the way I did.
Ouch.

Jessica is a true nail artist! This salon is really relaxing and doesn’t have that rushed feel of bigger nail salons. It’s personal and you even get a truffle with your mani/​pedi. I will definitely be back.

OK, I’m going to write a mini novel, so be forewarned.
Pros:
Clean, calming environment
Relatively reasonable prices for area, though recently prices have been raised from $ 35 to $ 38 for a Brazilian.
The first two times I went to this place, I had nothing but awesome results with great technicians Liz and Purnima, and the receptionist is kind and courteous.
Con:
Customer service was very frustrating and pretty much nonexistent when you attempt to rectify a bad experience, and they don’t seem to understand a basic business principle that «the customer is always right.»
I had a BEYOND TERRIBLE recent experience with my technician. I had never met her before and when she walked in the room, she never even introduced herself or asked my name. I had to ask later for her full name. My recent Brazilian was the absolutely most painful wax I have EVER had, way more painful than my first ever, and including previous waxes where I had waited over six months between (which is basically like the first time all over again). What angered me was not so much the pain as the way she handled the situation, which was just beyond insensitive and downright patronizing. She never apologized and basically blamed me for waiting too long between treatments. I did NOT buy this for the aforementioned reason above. Furthermore, not to get too graphic but when a technician cannot remove hair cleanly and smoothly in one fell swoop and instead must repeatedly yank at the skin up to 3 – 4 times with each strip, it hurts in ANY situation.
So, Con for unskilled technician with bad attitude.
STRIKE ONE.
What took the cake was the response from management.
First, I called but hung up after being put on hold well over five minutes because I was told the manger was «on a very important phone call» (does this imply my phone call was unimportant?) STRIKE TWO.
Second, when I took the time to write a very long and detailed letter, the response I received was a disappointingly hollow promise to «investigate this incident and ensure that all of our technicians are up to our highest standards.» Then I received an even more maddening half apology: «In a mean while we recommend getting you’re waxing done regularly…» with another reiterated patronizing lecture on hair follicle growth times. Well, that just did it for me, because I had stated in my letter that I FULLY understood how painful a waxing can be if waiting too long, but this was MUCH more painful than my first, and that was NOT the reason why I was so dissatisfied. So obviously no one bothered to really read my grievances.
STRIKE THREE.
Unfortunately, when it comes to businesses, no matter how well a job is done (and this past waxing was NOT well done as my skin is still angry and red after 24 hours and the skin beyond sensitive to the point that I was in tears yesterday) nor how clean and pretty a facility appears, I rank CUSTOMER SERVICE service beyond all. One bad apple can ruin everything.
Here is my advice to future clients and my own lessons learned: 1) Never have a bad experience at Purele; 2) Never book a waxing appointment with this technician; or 3) Hope management will get their act together on how to actually listen to and not offer half-​baked apologies to clients who take the time to write a formal letter to them before finally feeling so exasperated that they have no choice but to post a negative review on Unilocal and ruin their five star rating!
I will NOT be returning.

I mean, before anything else, I do want to say: my eyebrows came out good. I like them. But I wasn’t incredibly thrilled with the service.
First of all, I arrived to my appointment on time (for a basic eyebrow threading and upper lip wax) and had to wait 15 minutes to be seen. I understand that sometimes you run behind schedule, people show up late, whatever. I would appreciate, however, being told that things are running a bit behind schedule and I might have to wait. That’s how customer service works.
The thing that really got me though was the threader. I told her I didn’t want to go thin, that I like the shape of my eyebrows and wanted to just clean them up. And she did that, but when she was finishing up she said, «they are still way too thick,» and held up the mirror. They looked fine! Everyone I’ve told this to since has said the same thing, that they’re not too thick at all. I told her that I liked them so she didn’t make them any thinner, which I appreciate, but I don’t appreciate basically having my eyebrows insulted. I thought we were done with that in middle school.
All in all, I don’t think I’ll go back. Good work but the service kind of sucks. And I’m pretty forgiving on customer service.

I recently moved into the area from Nebraska and I have to say, I am quite impressed with my experience and will definitely be going back again. I wasn’t sure I’d find a place that would even compare to my old Braz salon in Braska but, I liked this one even better! The staff is very welcoming and the cleanliness is on point. They sure know how to perfect a Brazilian wax and the best part, you can book online– quick and easy. They use strip wax and hard wax, which in combination, is sure to grab every piece of hair. The only thing I suggest is bringing cash for tips, as you can’t leave a tip on the receipt if paying with credit cards!

Second time coming to wax my legs. After my first experience I decided that I was never going to shave my legs again (so much damage to your skin). Purele makes the waxing experience extremely pleasant and they really care for your needs.
It is best if you pay in cash. They have an ATM inside their local and the fee is only 0.50 cents (not bad at all).
Today was my second time here and I tried the eyebrow threading. It was really good although I still need to grow my eyebrows and tame them. Elena (eyebrow threader) was very nice and cared about making my eyebrows look on point.
All in all, Purele is hands down the best salon in the area for waxing and threading! A must visit.

Brazilians are not pleasant. It’s just a reality. They can be painful, uncomfortable, and frankly a bit more personal than you ever want them to be. But, they are fantastic when finished, so we ladies make do.
I make do in CA just fine, but in this area, there are limited options. Purnima and Elizabeth have changed that. My family lives *somewhat* nearby and I make it a point to align my trip and my Brazilian needs every time I am in town. I added a leg wax this trip, because, why not. Best. Decision. Ever.
I want just enough of you to go so that they stay comfortably in business, but not so many that it is difficult to get an appointment. Can we make it work, people of Unilocal

This salon is great. Been recommending my friends to start coming here. I’ve had Purnima and Elizabeth Darmochwat for waxing, both are very good and quick.

It was my first time at Purele and with Jessica. She was very polite through the whole service. She even asked me if I had any plans this coming week (which i did) so that way my polish would work well with my outfit. Sure enough we came up with the perfect color with alil sparkle and that was just the beginning. She really has amazing attention to detail and made sure every toe was perfect! The massage was my favorite and defiantly relaxing. Start to finish was Perfect!!! Coming back to try other services for sure and telling everyone I know!

The Salon Is Immaculate And It’s Easy To Get An Appointment.

After reading the reviews on Unilocal I decided to give this place a try. Especially since I was looking for a new nail salon. You are able to book online or through an app which is what I did, very convenient.
I will say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, as from the outside this salon doesn’t look like much but once you get inside it’s very neat and chic.
Carolynn was my nail tech and she was great. I will be going back for sure and asking for her.
I wanted to try something different from your usual salon that, has no character and you are just a number. I highly recommend this salon, I will be back and I would like to try some of their other services at some point.

***Update***
I came in for a pumpkin facial with Liz, and I was absolutely blown away. It was easily the best facial I’ve ever I had. She was incredibly thorough in the cleansing and extracting process, and finished up with my most enjoyable facial/​hand/​arm massage. I cannot wait to go back and have another!

It is safe to say I have had my fair share of bad waxing experiences. Elena is worth the 40 minute drive and I will follow her to the ends of the earth. She is simply the most professional and most thorough waxer I have ever seen. My results last longer than before and the pain of the process is cut at least in half. She is QUICK and helps you through with the all important breathing techniques. I’m tellin ya girls, BREATHE!!!
The fenapil she recommends is awesome and cools and soothes freshly waxed skin. The prices are the lowest around and the place is immaculate and adorable. I think a pretty hefty star goes to their easy as pie online appointment booking. I’m a lifer.

I’ve had Brazilian waxes done at other places, and had been traumatized but the visit to purele solved all of that. I’ve had two waxes done, and both Purima and Elena have been incredibly patient and are both very knowledgable about not only their technique but also the waxes they use. Which deserves a mention. They use two of the softest waxes on the market and don’t double dip! They make the process as painless as possible and after waxing they apply a cooling cream called fenapil that has antimicrobial properties and reduces the chances of ingrown hairs.
Overall, this salon is easily a ⁵⁄₅. Definitely going to come back here again!

I am so happy I found this place! Best Brazilian I’ve ever had for a number of reasons.
The salon is impeccably maintained and welcoming. They provide privacy for changing which, I suppose doesn’t matter ALL that much when you’re getting a Brazilian wax but it’s still nice. But best of all is Elena, the waxing professional. I’ve gotten waxes before and have been somewhat traumatized by the painful experience. She coaches you with breathing and it’s amazing how much that really helps. She’s also very quick.
This salon uses a combination of two waxes, strip and hard wax. I was previously of the mindset that hard wax is the best but the results from this wax prove otherwise! When the whole shebang was over, some finapil cream was applied. It has anti microbial properties and gives a cooling sensation to the skin. Loved that! Will definitely be back in 3 or 4 weeks!
