History

Established in 1980.

Suzanne Arca Design has received numerous prestigious industry awards including the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) 2011 International Landscape Designer of the Year, as well as APLD – Gold Medal Residential, APLD – Best in Show, ASLA – Merit Award, and CLCA – Judges’ Award.

I highly recommend Suzanne Arca Design. Suzanne is very flexible, patient and has great design ideas. Her staff is very professional and really know what they are doing.
I have a large garden and maintaining it is a big challenge. Suzanne and her team are helping me design and implement a new front yard and helping problem solve a large back yard garden.

I highly recommend Suzanne Arca and her wonderful landscape design and maintenance team. I’ve worked with Suzanne over the last year to landscape our acre property in Lafayette. I was interested in a low-​water use garden that was beautiful but also functional for our young family. Suzanne knew exactly which direction to take us; by taking into account our family’s lifestyle, she designed spaces for play, entertaining, relaxing, and even vegetable and fruit gardening. Most important to me, the garden can withstand our scorching summers without consuming a ridiculous amount of water. Suzanne is incredibly knowledgeable about plant and tree species, especially species native to Mediterranean climates. But she considers more than just plants when designing a garden; drainage, irrigation, lighting, and pest control were also given consideration. She and her entire staff are responsive and organized; any time a situation arose that needed immediate attention, they dropped what they were doing and attended to it right away. I’ve continued to use Suzanne’s maintenance team after the implementation of the garden, as they truly care about seeing it grow into the vision Suzanne has for our yard, and keeping it healthy and beautiful. Suzanne, Peter, Isabelle, Rachael, and the rest of the staff have become friends to my family. Their maintenance visits are more like visits from friends… truly a great group of people!
