Kinning Park Subway Station

I find this station handy for the nearby attractions at the ‘activity zone’ of town– Roller Stop, Ryze, Climbing Academy bouldering, Wonder World etc. The Kinning Park Community Complex is also next to the subway, which often hosts interesting one off events and it is a short walk to Paisley Road West from here as well.
The station itself is quite small, with one platform in both directions and a new covered bike rack outside. There is a ticket office and one ticket machine. nothing much outstanding to say about the station really but I am glad that this part of the South Side has a subway link.

A seemingly bizarre placement for a subway unless you live or work here. It’s a fair walk from a main road, and it’s only purpose is really for the Subcrawl.
It has no real redeeming qualities, and exists simply because it always has.

This is one of the least-​patronised subway stations on the line. There’s very little reason to use it unless you’re either a local resident or have need to visit one of the numerous commercial premises in the area.
There really isn’t much else of interest around apart from a small park and a pedestrian bridge over the motorway, and even that only accesses an area populated entirely by warehouses and industrial sites.

Next to the motorway, this has to be the smallest of the tube stations.
It bears the new-​look design inside with a purple design.
It’s right in a residential area with a nice park, but being right beside the motorway it’s really noisy.
Not really much here to see or do, being primarily a tube stop for the folks who live over this part of town.

A good location for a Park and Ride facility, Kinning Park is situated just off the M8, and is therefore an otherwise quiet station (bar the noise from the motorway… seriously, the noise itself is LOUD!).
As Liz said, it’s used mainly by commuters, due to the residential-​likeness of the area, although there are a few pubs and bingohalls nearby.

Right next to the M8, cars zoom by at all hours very close to this station. Located in a fairly quiet area, there is a bridge across the M8 to the actual Kinning Park. Flats are all around, but if you walk a short distance, you come to a small shopping street.
This stop is mainly used by commuters. Tourists or shoppers don’t really have any reason to come out here.
