History
Established in 1988.
Successfully run by the previous owner until February 2013, when he was bought out by the current management. It is a friendly family run café/take away and catering service, that is focused on tasty, great value for money home cooked dishes. Menu items include but are not limited to, breakfasts, roast dinners, lasagne, curry and sandwiches. Not forgetting lovely coffee available as an Americano, Latte, Espresso or Cappuccino and of course Tea including a selection of herbal varieties and Cadburys Hot Chocolate, as well as a range of cold beverages.
Substantial changes have been made over the past few months, completely changing the cosmetic image of the café. It has brought the once dated appearance into a contemporary, comfortable, warm and friendly environment. The new look café is suitable for persons of all ages, and everyone is welcome.
A great look to go with the great food.
Meet the Manager
Les C.
Manager
Les has been working in the catering industry for the last 22 years. His first placement was Compass Catering, progressing to Chef de Partie at the Coed-y-Mwstwr before having the opportunity to serve the Welsh Rugby World Cup squad of 1999 at the Copthorne Hotel. Following this he became the 2nd Chef at Miskin Manor, before becoming the head chef at The Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, serving the Senior Ryder Cup players. Looking for a change of direction Les took on the head chef position at the Plough and Harrow serving gastropub food. Looking for more family time he took on the position at Tastebuds and is having positive reactions to the change of recipes now used at the café, and is looking to continue to add his own flair to items served, both in the café and in the catering services.
