Cool spot with great ambiance in their second year. Food is amazing and the wine list is decent. Must try some of the cocktails with unique liquor offerings including aged rum from PR. The Tomahawk Steak was huge and feed a family of four. It was my wife’s birthday and the server was able to bring desert with a candle. Good service and good food!

Food was amazing — the best restaurant we have been to in San Juan. The Cod fish was surprising and amazing and the green salad with the flowers(eatable) on top had secret flavors of cheese and nuts and it was delightful! The plates were big and three for a couple was enough. Totally recommended!

Most of the dishes we had were good but the service was lacking to say the least. We waited for 6 minutes after we arrived before any one of the 3 employees(bartender literally 5 ft from us and 2 waitstaff) acknowledged us. This seemed to be an issue because we saw others walk in and wait several minutes before being acknowledged. Also, we were told they were out of the quail but the two ladies next to us ordered it 10 – 15 minutes later. When it arrived, it looked pretty good. Once the employees learn they are in a service business, this place will be good, but until then, I’d pass.

Wonderful time – food was superb and drinks were unique. Try Irish mule and chicken liver mousse. We will go back.

Best food we had the entire trip. probably…hard to say because there are so many amazing places to eat. I have never had bone marrow before… omg…so guiltily amazing and indescribable, I still crave it. We had several other amazing items off of the menu. Basically, everything was great. It is kind of hidden, but don’t miss this spot!

Hidden at a side entrance of this sushi place but definitely not a place to miss. They have a rotating menu and apparently Tuesdays are burger days. Ordered the parcela burger medium rare but turned out more like medium. Still very juicy and flavorful!

Tapas were average for the most part. Portions were a bit smaller than the tapas that I am used to. The pork arepas are a must-have!

Came here with my family and ordered the following: Gambas al ajillo Pork and chicken liver mousse Ponzu glazed Berkshire belly Keep in mind this is a gastropub and tapas place, so the shareable plates are small and the food is presented in a unique way. I thought everything we ordered was good but the pork and chicken liver mousse was a bit too salty. My parents didn’t like it here because it’s not their style — they left hungry and went to the Chinese food place down the street. The service here is a bit on the slower side but it might be because of the cultural difference here. If you like pricey small plates of food in a dark setting, then this is the place for you!

super interesting and delicious tapas plates and cocktails. best meal of our trip. a bit expensive and we were totally ignored for the first 15 minutes we stood waiting for a table, but once we’d been seated service was great so whatever. would absolutely reco this place to anyone eating in the area, every dish was unique and really, really good. the ginger cocktail, bok choy, and scallops in particular were so, so good.

Amazing tapas. Try the mini pork adobo arepas, ponzu glazed pork belly, and mushroom and kale risotto definitely recommended The seared scallops and charcuterie board were also pretty good. For drinks, try the Los 3 amigos which was a guest cocktail. Definitely check out this place if in San Juan

We love this place! It’s a gastropub bar. Not a very big place but good enough. The atmosphere was lovely. We came in for dinner. The menu were written on the chalk wall. Because we came at night some of the entrees were marked off. There were still a lot to choose from. We ordered roasted bone marrow, cheese head, rack of lamb, spicy sticky chicken, pork beer stew and so much more but I can’t recall. The only disappointing thing was the roasted bone marrow. It here was nothing on it but a bone. Felt like we wasted money for nothing. The cheese head and pork belly was so delicious! I can’t explain how good it is. We had to order second, because it was that delicious. I want to go back to Puerto Rico just to eat there again. It is a bit higher price but it’s worth it when their food are so good. The service were great. They were so nice and helpful. They kept checking on us. What was so awesome about this place was that they had a glass window between the dinning and the chief. We were able to see the chef cook the food.

This place deserves the 5 stars that it has. My boyfriend and I decided to try this gastropub the day before Valentine’s which wasn’t our brightest idea. The place was pretty full and the wait was supposed to be 20 minutes. Fortunately, a pair of seats opened up fairly quickly and we were seated. So I’ll start breaking it down: Atmosphere: this place is a gastropub/tapas bar. It is a hole in the wall but I loved the décor from the menu written on the blackboard walls to the kitchen which you can see from the main restaurant. It doesn’t have the cheap air of some other restaurants on the island while still maintaining a homey feel. I like that it’s small cause it feels very cozy and private. Service: this place gets a 5 star for service. They were extremely attentive and so polite. All the waiters were fluent in Spanish and English which is a plus. The place was full to capacity, I repeat, and yet my water glass was never empty. All three waiters and waitress attend the tables and made sure that everyone was well taken care of. Food: we had the gnocchi, the berkshire pork belly, the charcouterie board, and the mini pork arepas. The first plate out were the arepas and they were great. The pork was well seasoned but not overly salty and the arepas were soft and chewy. The gnocchi was covered in thick cut bacon, the most delicious mushrooms I’ve ever had, crunchy potato skins which add something interesting to the plate and a sauce that was to die for. The charcuterie board was composed of different cuts of ham and turkey which worked great as a tapas board. The cuts were small but so yummy, perfectly seasoned and paired with some crackers and sauces that finished off the plate. Finally the pork belly was my second favorite plate after the arepas. I loved the softness of the meat paired with the gingery ponzu sauce that just created this burst of flavor in your mouth. Overall, this place earned 5 stars in the food aspect. Finally, the drinks: my boyfriend had the bullet bourbon and the smokey pirate cocktail. I had the forbidden coupe and the black sun cocktail. I have to say this place won my heart over completely when the bartender managed to make me fall in love with rye whiskey. I am not a whiskey drinker, far from it. I usually hate the taste of whiskey so imagine my surprise when I found out that the black sun cocktail had rye whiskey. This drink went down smooth with the sweet taste of whiskey and none of the after taste that I’m not fond of. All in all, the drinks really are the shining star of the restaurant and I give them 5+ stars. I always like to warn any tourists that when in PR, service tends to be a little more laid back than what most of us(I’m including myself since I’m from Miami) are accustomed to. This place though is pretty darn fast for being super full and making most, if not all, of their food from scratch. I highly highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a date night or looking for a quaint place to hand out with some friends.

Stupid good!!! We came on a Tuesday and they have a special menu. We ordered the Gambas al ajillo(garlic shrimp), the pork sausage, the Parcela Burger(bacon, cheddar, caramelized onions, tomato jam with home-fries and an apparent biscuit bun), and the croissant bread pudding top with a bourbon sauce with coffee ice-cream. Everything is homemade including the sausage and the icecream! SOGOOD! Great service. Also the drinks! On point, creative and well balanced. Mixologists standards. Perfect and a must try!

We loved Parcela. It was definitely not crowded, but we did go on a weekday. I would imagine it could get loud and crowded… A lot of bar front seating and shared tables. The entrance is, I imagine, fairly easy to miss; it’s just to the side of another large restaurant. The menu is on a chalkboard on the wall. I understand it frequently changes, but there seem to be some consistencies. For example, several other reviewers have mentioned the Swiss cheese croquettes, which we really enjoyed as well. Think about the best mozzarella stick you’ve ever had and then imagine it fancier and way better = those croquettes. We also enjoyed the arepas, pork belly, the rabbit with pasta(), and the garlic shrimp. Better than food was service… Our server was quite attentive and the bartenders were knowledgeable, friendly and inventive. The bar is impressive. I had a sparkling wine cocktail that I really enjoyed and the bartenders essentially created a cocktail on the spot based on my husband’s queries about some of their ingredients. Good looking wine list too, but only by the bottle.

Shipwreck= solid Doors of perception= life changing. They were able to make a drink that had a kick and a smoky flavor. We also had the scallops which were perfectly cooked with grits. I usually dont like grits but these didn’t taste like grits but had their consistency with a pepper flavor

The amazing reviews brought us in but I left underwhelmed. You order from a chalkboard as the menu often changes. We got 3 small plates. I’m not a picky eater but I’m not adventurous either. I was torn between the scallops and gnocchi and she said the gnocchi is a larger portion so I went with that. My husband got the rabbit liver mousse and the veal sweetbreads. He loved both his dishes. My gnocchi were okay but I wasn’t a fan of the vegetables. My husband tried them and didn’t like them either. One thing I won’t fault the restaurant for but did affect our visit was the only other table of people there. They were so loud and obnoxious. But again, I recognize that’s not the restaurant’s fault. It’s a cute place. They have some bigger tables but if it’s just two of you they have you sit at the bar or facing the wall.

The food started off good but it kind of went down from there. The food was well cooked but lacked in the seasoning department. Also, the ambiance would have been nice but it was very bright for the type of establishment it was at that hour.

I am happy to continue the pattern of 5 star reviews for Parcela. This place would be successful in pretty much any large US city. I am a big foodie, so I was skeptical of the descriptor«gastropub,» but I was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is dark/wood/underground chic, and the menu is written on the chalkboard daily. The kitchen has an open window where you can watch the staff work, which is very cool. The service was great and very attentive. Now the food– since the menu changes frequently I may not remember exactly what we had, but I’ll do my best! We had a pork belly and greens dish, a bbq octopus dish, the charcuterie board, a few other really delicious things that now escape me, and the most AMAZING bread pudding I have ever had. I’m not a huge dessert person, but literally everyone was fighting over the bread pudding. It was just the perfect texture and combo of sweet and a hint of salt, and if they don’t have it the night you’re there, I would be devastated. They also had some very inventive and unique cocktails, which everyone at our table seemed to enjoy. Overall, I would love to come back here, and wish they would open a place in the States!

This was a cute place… however we are from NY and we really like when we escape the whole ‘hipster’ vibe… unfortunately we did not really this place was going to be like taking a trip into Williamsburg for the day. With that said… it was a very unique restaurant. very different from the local dinning experiences in PR. Menu was good. But again we did not eat a lot of the stuff on the menu(totally our fault). The menu was rather expensive, which made us apprehensive, since it is tapas, and we we knew we were going to get at least 3 plates. We ordered a drink… it took 15 minutes to get to us, and then it ended up being the wrong one… so they let me keep the wrong one and brought me the correct drink. They were very good. And rather unique combinations. Food was very good. We liked absolutely everything we had… however… the prices were very high for the plates size. And truthfully with all the amazing food in PR, we wish we spent our money elsewhere.
