I had a great experience dining at Agarrate Catalina this evening. The service was excellent, the food and drinks I found delicious. Was a great night.

Really good food. The service could improve a tad. I’m not a huge fan of meat, so I tend to stay away from traditional Argentinian restaurants that specialize in parrilladas. This place is different. They have slow cooked, melt in your mouth meats and killer homemade pastas. The meats can be sided with real mashed potatoes, polenta or French fries… All simple and wonderful. The pastas are filled with cheeses and meats and topped with subtle but delicious sauces. Stop by and go hungry!

La comida es buena, pero es muy pequeño. Preparate a esperar para poder sentarte… Especialmente los viernes por la noche. Pide la comida para compartirla.

The people were very nice. I love fish so, I have eaten a lot of it. The fish that I had was perfectly cooked! I have never had fish perfectly cooked. Was it a fluke? I don’t know I will have to go back to see

Lovely ambiance, great music, and friendly staff. Dinner was a bit pricey, but it was a nice change of flavor from the normal Puerto Rican plantain-filled diet. The bottle of wine we ordered was great and overall I enjoyed my cannelloni with ground beef.

This place is great. I was staying close by so I decided to go so I could walk and didn’t have to pay the high taxi rates. It was a very pleasant surprise. It’s quite small inside and homely feel. I don’t speak Spanish and the menus were in both English and Spanish, that doesn’t mean I knew what everything was. I got a spinach bun for an appetizer and I’d never had anything like it. Really tasty. Also got steak pieces(like a stew) and chorizo. Both also good. For main I shared what I thought was a pizza from the menu, I was wrong and it was like a schnitzel with pizza toppings. Amazing, I didn’t take a photo of the menu to know what it was called but it was really good! Quite cheap for Puerto Rico prices too

Soo many new places in PR! This one is a great addition! Staff is especially attentive. Good price for wine. Meat quality extraordinary on two occasions. Very nice appetizers including amazingly tasty little empanadas. Special menu of breaded meats is outstanding and at excellent prices. Huge serving.

Very good food and selection here, as well as plate sizes. The portions of food were too much to eat in one sitting. I ordered the pork loin with Bacon and mashed potatoes. I also ordered a carafe of sangria. Very tasty. Watch your bill though, because the party I was with only drank three carafes of sangrias, however the waitress charged us for five carafes. She ended up removing two of them which brought the bill down by almost $ 50.

The Argentinian restaurant/bar has a rustic and intimate feel inside. Located across from the Doubletree it has a convenient location if staying at the hotel. The appetizers chosen are chorizo in red wine sauce, ravioli stuffed with lobster, and provoleta. All are good but the ravioli is especially good with a slightly spicy dipping sauce. Our main course, the canolones spinach and chicken, proved to be nice and tasty. The canolones is topped with a red sauce and white sauce and optional parmesan cheese; it is stuffed with spinach and a shredded chicken. All in all, it is a nice enjoyable restaurant.

Food was great, hostess was great with getting me seated but my waitress wasn’t as attentive as i am used to. Because I am a Washingtonian, I’m used to speedy service and attentiveness from waitstaff. The waitress was very friendly though and the skirt steak was great! The rice I ordered had chopped garlic cloves and onion and came with a savory green sauce that I put all over the steak and rice. Visitors give this place a try. The décor is very nice &the mood lighting is perfect as i like a darker setting and its very clean inside.

This place is one of the new restaurants opened in the Loiza street which is becoming a very cool and hipster area recently. This Argentinean place is good in different ways… the service is great… its decoration and overall setting is warm and welcoming… low lights… low music… I ordered some pasta… Sorrentinos…after hearing about how good is its homemade pasta… and it is indeed… so was the bife de chorizo… filled chicken breast… milanesa…I taste a bit of everything and it all tasted really good and fresh… the menu is kinda basic but still the flavor of the food will make it feel special

So I frequently travel to San Juan once a month for work and eat out which is a company expense perk I have so I try to find a good place at a good price. After hearing about this location I decided to give it a try. Location is in a good spot because of the hotel and bars in the area. When we arrived we were greeted very nicely and given a table right away. One bad thing is that Hostess and waiters share duties of taking care of the customers which makes it confusing when ordering a drink or anything. DONTORDERANYSODASORJUICESASTHEYDONOTALLOWREFILLS and God forbid the tap water is free but I learned the hard way and had to pay $ 4.00 for each lemonade I had which was 3 and when I asked the waitress/hostess she told me that I am the first customer that doesn’t know that they don’t allow refills which than I thought as a waitress or waiter that they would of let you know that they do not allow refills and So for appetizer part of my dinner we ordered spinach buns and fried ravioli stuffed with lobster, don’t ever order as it was a ripoff from not having the spinach buns due to no spinach in stock and the ravioli with lobster in it and than had less of a teaspoon of lobster in it — -horrible appetizers already. Main entrée was Filet Migon and my friends orders the Mahi Mahi special which was ok and took over 45 min to arrive to our table and reason why I had to give this location 2 stars which was not for the food but for their decorations and 0 stars for food as I have had way better Argentinean food in San Juan than this. If you want authentic Argentina food and good service please visit CHES in Isla Verde. Hopefully this place reads and address their flaws and make a improvement or I will see them closing by 2016. Also wine prices are too much money compared to places like Ches, Bottles and other places have better deals and pairings. Good luck

Our waiter was great; his recommendations were all very tasty. They make their own pasta and sauces fresh. We had a lamb stuffed ravioli in a bacon sauce and steak tips. Save room for desert — the caramel crêpe is to die for. $ 50 bill for 2 of us, including 4 glasses of wine. The outdoor seating is nice. I would recommend this place to any traveler weary of the Puerto Rican staples of beans, rice, and plantain.

The think I like the best about this place was the atmosphere. I had the potato dish and yes, I love potatoes and it was very good. We sat outside under the lights and had a lovely evening.

Nice quaint restaurant. The ambiance is romantic and the food pretty good. The spinach buns didn’t have a lot of flavor but the sauce helped. The chorizo was simply sliced and grilled but did have good flavor. The provoleta(queso fundido con hierbas) or melted cheese and herbs was the best dish. The potato pie was pretty good and had the comfort food feel to it.
