La comida es bien de fonda y tiene buen sabor. Hay muchas opciones para escoger. El servicio necesita mejorar. Las meseras se paran a esperar a que las llames sin interes… Eso es lo unico pero muy importante para los que deseen volver.

Very disappointing. We came here because every place we really wanted to eat at had extremely long wait times, so decided to try El Camaron. None of the food we ate was very good. We were looking forward to traditional Puerto Rican and Dominican food, which so many places can cook well, but El Camaron didn’t make a single appetizer or main dish well. Everything was bland. No one in our group wanted to finish their meals. Service was also inattentive. There are so many better restaurant options in Puerto Rico.

Service was fine this afternoon-waitress actually memorized our order, repeated it back to us and everything was as ordered. The fried calamari were not greasy, nice breading and soft like butter(not elastic and hard). Sangria was tasty, tostones and churrasco a good choice. Reasonable neighborhood eatery. Nothing fancy but always reliable. Third time here.

Food here is great and reasonably priced. However, the customer service is awful! When we were seated our waitress came over to hand us the menus. She didn’t even greet us. Once handed the menus, she came back within a minute and asked if we(me and my family) were ready to order. We asked for a few minutes. She came back and her first words«que ustedes quieren?»(What do you want?)…so much for friendliness. I could say more, but I won’t since I have family members that attend there. Anyways, customer service is lacking unless you are a police officer… in that case you’ll get great service. Maybe next time I’ll come in dressed up in a police officer or FBI agent custom and maybe I’ll get good service.

Disappointing in spite of many good reviews. We waited 45 minutes for a Asopado de pescado and a 7 potencias… Both dishes were very expensive and tasteless. The Asopado was basically a bowl of rice with a few tiny pieces of fish. The 7 potencias was mostly conch with one tiny piece of dry lobster. We paid almost 60 dollars… Not worth it!!!

It’s an OK place to get a casual meal without spending a fortune. Not crazy about the white sauce that was on my mofongo but the meat was tasty and the mofongo was also good. The red snapper filet was flavourful and fresh tasting. Will go back to try something else since other things looked good as well.

The tres leche is to die for. The service was great even though it was a packed house. Well worth the search through traffic.

We were only in Puerto Rico for a few hours(cruise port), but we wanted to find authentic cuisine. Luckily, we have family friends that live nearby, so they picked us up and brought us here. Delicious! The croquettes, the seasoned chicken, the churrasco, mafongo, tostones! Everything we tried was beyond scrumptious, though I must say the flan falls into«the best flan I’ve ever had» category. Beyond wonderful. If I’m back in Puerto Rico, I’d definitely eat here again.
