Great food, service and just the right place to have a good time. The French toast are delicious and the fruit is always fresh. Let’s not forget about the coffee, the best. Jazz nights are awesome as well. Over all, my favorite place to go.

Abracadabra is definitely off the beaten path. We had to park about a mile away and walk there on a Tuesday morning. The atmosphere alone made up for it. It was a combination of Tim Burton — meets claymation — meets antique carnival — meets art gallery. Suuuuuuper super cool. No wait on a Tuesday, we sat right down. The waiter was nice and helped explain some of the dishes to us(most of the menu was in Spanish). I ordered french toast(as I tend to do) and a latte and everything was good. The food wasn’t super astounding, but the atmosphere was so cool and the food ultimately sufficed for breakfast. Worth a stop if you appreciate quirky and creative ambience.

Love the décor that looked cute and hip. There are lots of references to magic stuff. The neighborhood around it is a little sketchy looking with grafitti and abandoned buildings. Inside the restaurant is nice and clean. It’s a little crowded but it is still okay for big groups. They don’t pick up calls since it’s Puerto Rico. They don’t believe in phones and RSVPS. Service was mediocre. We went on a Sunday and there was already a line 20 min before it opened but we still managed to get a spot and we didn’t have to wait outside. The brunch itself is very good comes with coffee or juice with mixed fresh fruit. The coffee was amazing because they drew on it and it tasted very authentic. The portions are huge that we usually take half our meal home. Omelette with Salmon — very flavorful and filling. Salmon was Lox style and it came with a yummy toast on the side. Pancakes made with eggwhite, fruits, and whipped cream — nice and fluffy and healthy because they were whole grain. The presentation of the food looked very decorative. I would definitely go there more often if it was closer to me. Parking lot: There’s a parking lot that is associated with the café. We found it by looking for an OLD weirdly dressed man that is pointing toward the parking lot. It’s 4 buildings down on the same side of the café. Drive slowly and you will see him. PUERTORICOLOL. If all fails, ask the people in line on where they parked and they will POINTYOUTHERE! Donde esta parqueo or say«ELPARKING» with a spanish accent.

Great food but too pricey. $ 18 for a brunch? Not the best option. Muy buena comida pero demasiada cara para un desayuno.

First time in Puerto Rico and first time at this place and let me tell you it is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great, the décor and the people are all wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you are on this part of the island.

Lovely place. Very decorative and artistic. The food is just as artistic, my coffee looked so pretty i didnt want to drink it. Lol But just as pretty as everything was, the food was phenomenal too. I had a specialty called El Montecristo(not on the menu by the way) Israel our server recommended it and it was amazing.

Definately worth a visit if you’re touring PR. The décor is worth seeing. Prices are high but the food is good. Our server was attentive and very nice. Be sure to try the croque monsieur con salmon.

Great food and service. They take real pride on serving the dishes with a certain minimum requirement. One of the best brunches I have ever had. There are moments in which you have to share table with other people but it is worth it.(Don’t be picky with the tables. If you want a table alone, say it once you arrive but you might have to wait more than other people) For brunch on Sundays it is recommended to arrive either at 10:20(opens at 10:30) to get a table with the initial group or arrive around 11:45 when people from the initial group are leaving. If you arrive anywhere in between 10:30 and 11:45 and weren’t lucky to get a table, you are practically guaranteeing yourself a 20 – 30 min wait. And be aware, you wait outside the restaurant were you might get hot. The restaurant, food and service is worth everything.

Decided to stop in after church for a late brunch. Service, drinks, and food all 5 stars. I ordered a strong flavorful café con leche from Hacienda San Pedro paired with the OhLala Nutella French Toast. French toast was cooked to perfection. Served surprisingly quickly. Took what seemed only 5 – 7 minutes from the moment I ordered to the time I received my order. Be aware they pack on the Nutella. Which is awesome. Fruit and Nutella in every bite! Very sweet and rich meal. Highly recommend you try this or if you think it maybe too much, split it with a friend. :) I was full after eating two slices, but it was too darn delicious to stop; I ended up eating the whole plate. Highly recommend you check this place out. Only downside is the street parking and it’s a bit pricey. Will be returning.

After much hype, I was underwhelmed by my experience at Abracadabra. The wait for the food was ridiculously long: over an hour between the time we sat down to when the food was served. The service overall was inattentive, careless and slow. And the food was good, but not impressive. I went during brunch on a weekend. The place was full, but not incredibly packed. This was the excuse I was given when I complained about the wait. I ordered the croque madame, which had too much bread and too little meat and flavor. My wife shared with me her French toast, which were good, but averagely so. The atmosphere in the joint is very specific: retro and vintage, a clear hipster sensibility. Worst part was that it’s a bit too pricey. $ 18 for brunch, which include coffee and a choice of juice or fruit. Not worth the money or the wait.

My go-to brunch place in the area! –The food and coffee are fresh, delicious, and affordable. –The café has a very cool, artsy vibe. Throughout the year, they also host fun, offbeat events such as their Halloween party. –I highly recommend the Abracadabra cappuccino, Nutella french toast, and any of the croques. –Expect at least a 15 – 30 min wait for weekend brunch for smaller parties, longer for larger groups. Buen provecho!

Abracadabra Let the magic begin, I went there for brunch while in Puerto Rico. The location if fabulous it’s walking distance from the Museo De Arto(you must visit). The restaurant is pretty(Instagram ready) and well decorated. The staff is friendly, polite, professional and helpful. The food is delicious, made with local products; you can taste the freshness of every ingredient. I had the Nutella French toast and the mushroom omelet. My gf had the gluten free pancake(amazing) and a veggie omelet. I will suggest also to try their latte.

The atmosphere of Abracadabra was unique – very hipster-esque but cute. The complimentary cookie in the beginning was nice, not too sweet with a hint of lemon. We ordered the Abracadabra cappuccinos, which were up to par. However, we didnt realize that on weekends we had to order the brunch special, which doesnt allow you to pick a single entrée, it is a compulsory menu that costs $ 18/person(minimum) so that you have to get a drink or fruit, a coffee and a main dish – which is all considerably more expensive than their brunch on a regular day. While the food was good and quick, it was nothing out of the world, so I would not return here as it seems very overpriced for what it is. My guess is you’re paying for the environment/experience. I wouldn’t say not to go once, but more than once, probably not.

FOOD — Complimentary cookies: sweet appetizer to hold us over. 4⁄5 — Croque Madame: ham and Swiss cheese sandwich, topped with a fried egg, over gravy. Delicious! 4⁄5 — Fruit Bowl: watermelon, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, cantaloupe, and kiwi. The fruits were fresh. 4⁄5 SERVICE A little disorganized and inattentive. 2⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS Good food. There’s always a long line for brunch, I recommend coming half an hour before opening.

Amazing! That pretty much sums this place up. If you’re staying in San Juan, this place feels a bit off the track but it’s definitely worth the walk. It’s on a boring street and looks very unassuming but when you walk in there are tables and a diner style counter you can sit at to watch the food being prepared. everything is super fresh. I had the French toast and berries with a black coffee and was super impressed. The food came in no time and the portion was huge(definitely can split between 2). Great little spot if you’re trying to escape the tourists and get a good meal.

BESTBREAKFAST. I saw the great reviews and had to stop in while on vacation. Yall, this place is amazing. We ordered the oh la la French toast, side of eggs, and the pancakes with fruit. SO good. We literally finished everything and were stuffed beyond belief. Hubs said coffee was great too!(Note: no free coffee refills) Great service. Food was made quickly. Clean. Street parking available. We went on a Friday morning and didn’t have a wait. Go check this place out!

Seriously, without a doubt, the best motherfucking breakfast I’ve ever had. There are literally not enough expletives to describe how good this breakfast was. I got the«Ooh La La» French toast, absolutely insane. Three big pieces of French toast smothered in Nutella and topped with fresh kiwi, strawberry, bananas, and blueberries. I also got some fried eggs on the side and a coffee. Mi novia got fried eggs with like a salmon(lox) and spinach salad, which she said was delicious as well. Coffee was great. Absolutely no complaints. It wasn’t cheap for a breakfast by any means… after tax and tip I think it was like $ 45 for the two of us, so it’s not a place you’re going to go for a cheap breakfast. The French toast plate was like $ 12, then add $ 2 for the Nutella and $ 4 for the side of eggs. However, no shit, this was an amazing breakfast. Totally worth it if you’re willing to spring a little extra for a special breakfast. Wait staff was very friendly and service was fast. Will absolutely be back.
