Wife went here with friends twice in three days. Excellent skirt steak and chicken mofungo. Reasonably priced relative to Condado. Very good service. Would go back again. Highly recommended.

I’m a foodie to say the least I was extremely disappointed. Service here is atrocious and it wasn’t busy. Other people who were seated after us got their food first. Incorrect orders and hot meals came cold. Overpriced! Save yourself the experience.

Excellent meal and service. We shared a «turnover appetizer». He had a NY Strip and I had Skirt steak. Choice of sides were meager but tasty. Would have given it five stars but the place was freezing and I couldn’t wait to leave so I could warm up!

Hmmmmm lets see where to start… Well first off it was 30 minutes until closing time and I was skeptical about going on… You know how ppl get when its time to close… But I decided to go anyway simply because my greeter which happened to be my waiter was extremely nice! Jaz was her name and she knows her job. Anything I needed to know and question I asked she had an answer for me. My food selection was pretty much undecided until she explained to me what was what and what I was asking for. Food was great, and I will make it my business to come back to this place when I return…

While the filet mignon was great the meat sample was a major disappointment. The appetizers were amazing though.

They got a second star only for their good location. The appetizers would be perfectly good if you bought them in the frozen section of your local discount grocery store and fry them in yesterday’s oil. The meat was edible. Nothing worth writing any more about. After leaving, I bought a smoothie to counter punch the experience.

Walked by this restaurant on Ashford street many times during our stay. Didn’t look too busy during the early part of the week so we were not sure if this place was a good place to stop! Don’t let the lack of people deter you from stopping by. We sat outside and the waiter immediately came to bring us menus and take our drink order — friendly staff and waiter had good recommendations. We started with Ham Criquettes — 6 came on a plate with a delicious white sauce. Very tasty and a good start to the evening. we followed that up by sharing the Ummo special mixed grill — came with filet mignon, lamb, sausage, chicken, skirt steak, short ribs — all very flavorful and more than enough for all 3 of us. We took the mash potatoes and salad as sides. Service was right on time — not too fast not too slow. Would definitely go back to try the other options on the menu.

The steak was great. Atmosphere we very nice. We ate early so I don’t think they were fully open and ready for us. Overall would for sure recommend for s nice steak.

What a disappointment! Everything was off. First of all my husband asked for a draft Heineken and was told that they had not had delivery of kegs in over 2 months. When my husband asked why, the bartender responded with, «maybe money problems.» We waited about a half an hour when they brought out sides but no steak. My husband ordered plain corn and grilled zuchini which came out covered in some sort of brown glaze. His baked potato was delivered in the form of mashed sweet potato! When asked how long it would take to get the baked potato they said they would have to cook it. Being that it already took a half an hour to get the wrong food in a restaurant that wasn’t even busy we knew it would take at least another half an hour to get re-served and perhaps receive the wrong meal again. My husband threw money on the counter and we left. We love Puerto Rico, the people, restaurants, and experiences that we have had over the many trips to the island but this was the absolute worst! I highly doubt that this place will be open on our next trip to the island.

Nah, don’t bother. Normally I wouldn’t even write a review of a joint this mediocre, but how else am I going to brag to my ones of followers that I went to Puerto Rico? I had the Churrasco and it was really tough and flavorless, not at all like the Churrasco I am used to eating. Decent service and the prices weren’t brutal, but you can find way better food by just walking a little way toward Old San Juan(I know a boat you can get on). The was a dude at the bar(there’s always a «dude», isn’t there?) and he swore by the place, but then again he was a «dude», so I should have listened to my Spidey Senses and bailed. It’s not horrible, but don’t get the Churrasco.

Great place for a relax and tasty dinner! The staff is really nice and polite. They didn’t have one ingredient to make one of the drinks, come let as know and apologized for it, but anyway they sent someone to get it instead of trying to convince us to get something else. They don’t have fastest service but personally being on vacation I don’t care if my meals takes 10 more minutes than normal, as long as, it tastes good. The meat was cooked just liked we asked, medium. There was no need to add extra salt or pepper. Everything very tasty! We will be coming back!

Excellent visit. We had a reservation for an early NYE dinner. The four of us ordered one of the meat platters and had difficulty finishing it. We also ordered potatoes as a side. Everything was outstanding and the service was friendly and attentive. By the time we left, the restaurant was very busy so I recommend dinner at about 7.

Since Argentina is so close to Puerto Rico, we figured that the Argentinean food would be really authentic here. So, we made a reservation and ate at Ummo. The reservation was not necessary. It was Friday night and there was plenty of room for us. This is a bit of an upscale place. Inside it is dark woods and lots of wine racks all around with Argentinean wine. Great ambiance. However, we actually sat outside because it was such a nice night and the wife was a bit chilly inside because she looked cute and the air conditioning… you know how it goes ladies… After studying the menu, we decided to get the meat sampler which came with chicken, blood sausage, Argentinean sausage, a steak and what was advertised as ribs. So since it was going to be a meat fest, we skipped the appetizer and ordered a grilled vegetable plate to go with it. The grilled vegetable plate was excellent. It had eggplant, tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, onion and red pepper. There was two of everything, so it was perfect to share. And for the record, it was a half order. Apparently, it is double the size and can act as an entire if you are a vegetarian or just not feeling the meat. The meat was grilled to order– we ordered it medium rare. It was actually a little on the rare side. They said it would cook a little at the table. It was brought out on a kind of a grill with charcoals underneath. Actually, the charcoals went cool pretty quickly and although the meat stayed warm, it did not cook any more and was, as a result, a little rarer than medium-rare. If I had to do it again, I would have ordered it medium and then it would have come out medium rare and would have been perfect. I guess the one complaint or maybe just an observation was that we went there to experience Argentinean food and we don’t feel like there was anything culturally significant about the meal at all. Nothing unique. It was a typical meal that you would make at home on your own grill. No special marinade, or special sauce. Nothing that was ‘distinctive’ or «Argentinean» at all about the restaurant or the experience. Thinking back on the menu, there were also a number of Italian dishes offered. But other than the wine, was our meal an authentic Argentinean meal? We still don’t know… We enjoyed the meal very much, but were hoping to get more out of the experience from a cultural point of view.

UMMO2015: Valentine’s Day dinner. We took a chance without reservation remembering how much we enjoyed UMMO last time. We got lucky and were immediately seated at 8pm. Our server Juan is attentive and very helpful with menu suggestions. Wine list is great. Great experience.

Great service and the lobster was awesome. There was a tank full of live spiny lobsters, where they had me pick my dinner before they cooked it in a lovely butter sauce.

I’m so coming back to this place. We got the sampler. It was for 2 or 4 people. We asked the server and he said go for the 2 people sampler. It was enough for 3 people. He was right. We were so stuffed. I love honest people. Tipped well…

Saw this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. They have a good location with some nice outside seating. The skirt steak I had for dinner was good, the service was good and overall the place was good. Was it the best meal I had in PR? No, but I would go back.
