Live music on a Sunday night. Great variety of wine and cheese(my first experience with green wine!). Main courses were traditional and well portioned. Lots of fish options, but also meat and vegetarian dishes. Fun place to hang out with friends!

Just had a quick snack with wine before dinner. It was a nice and had a quant atmosphere; reminded me of Italy. It was quite busy. The menu had a very large selection of wine and port. There goat cheese and the fig and onion compote was delicious.

Arrived without a reservation at 8pm on a Thursday and got a window table. The tapas selection was pretty small — about 12 plates to choose from — but the wine list was huge, whites, reds and greens. The décor was funky, the interior was low-lit and there was live music. A warm atmosphere with a mix of local families and tourists, and the service was good. We had scallops and cod which were delicious although I expected more on my dish — four scallops, nothing else. At least my wife’s cod came with veg so I robbed some of hers. A nice bottle of white, two mains and a dessert came to € 45, so fairly reasonable. Would recommend and will return!

Exploring and experiencing lisbon cuisine was one of my priorities during my visit here. Tried many highly rated places, based on Unilocal reviews, and Grapes and Bites was AMAZING. Best meal here! Chorizo was ridiculously good. We tried around 6 dishes, and all were incredibly good.

Great little hole in the wall with fantastic charm and what seems like an endless wine menu. Servers were kind and warm. They made a great recommendation based on our somewhat limited budget which we thoroughly enjoyed! Only downside is the midnight closing time.

Wonderful experience here! As wine lovers we are still confused by the enormous variety of wine regions and grapes in Portugal, so we got the server to help us choose wine according to our taste. He had us taste numerous wines and recommended really interesting ones. We learned a lot and enjoyed every sip, alongside one of the best cheese platters I’ve had anywhere in the world. Definitely check this place out! And compared to everything else in Lisbon this place is not actually that expensive. Two Euor symbols at most.

What’s not to love about a place where the drinks menu has 12 pages just for port? Well actually I was a little overwhelmed so shared a bottle of sparkling wine with my friends instead, but this place is great! It was really busy but we managed to get a table for three for our late dinner and a drink. I don’t eat sea food or fish do the menu was a little limited for me but I really fancied the flame cooked chorizo. When I ordered it the really friendly waiter said that it was just a plate of chorizo and didn’t come with anything. That was fine by me as I love chorizo and we were having a cheese and bread board with it anyway. My friends went for fish dishes — one salmon on sweet potato and the other some kind of fish pie. They were both very impressed. My plate of chorizo, was exactly how he said it would be, just a plate of chorizo, but it was much bigger than I imagined. It went well with the delicious cheese board and bread and it was the nicest chorizo I’ve ever had. The cheese was lovely on the whole. Our favourite was a really creamy sheep cheese. There was one which was too strong for us but the others were tasty and it came with a really sweet but tangy chutney and seeds and nuts. They didn’t have any of the cheaper bottles of sparkling wine we wanted but the waiter very kindly gave us a bottle of a more expensive one for the cheaper price. Winner! It was a really lovely rose sparkling wine which went well with the food. It’s a great little place with shelves of so many different wines all around the room. There was live music and a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone in/going to Lisbon. The only thing it lost a star for is that it is a little pricey.

Excellent place ! We ate here 2 x during our 4 day stay in Lisbon. Great service, wine and food and live music. Our server Nadia was excellent as well as the other staff. Her recommendations were perfect. The best dish was the grilled octopus. But everything else was excellent too. Nice atmosphere and they take credit cards! Not all places do in Lisbon. Will definitely go back next time!

I agree with many other reviews here — it’s a nice enough place with a pleasant ambiance, but nothing for which to go out of your way. I found it quite overpriced. Didn’t love that they charged me for the bread that came with my cheese plate(!!!).The wine list is extensive and there’s plenty of fun to be had if you have a lot of cash to drop and/or are trying to woo a romantic prospect.

A fun, busy place to have dinner, wine and live music in Bairro Alto. It’s a wine bar(so, a lot of wine) with tapas on offer. The tables are very tightly packed, so you will feel very intimate with your immediate dining neighbours, but it just adds to the fun ambience. The night I was there, there was a very cool guy and his guitar serenading us with a few modern classics(he had quite a beautiful voice too). The tuna we had was ok, but the salad with goats cheese was delicious(and came with a lot more in the salad than expected). The chocolate dessert was really good too. Not necessarily the most authentic or unique place to go, but if you have a week to dine out in Lisbon and are in the area(and fancy to be in the Bairro Alto area for all the partying, bars and clubs after) this is as good a place as any to get a nice meal and glass(or bottle) of wine.

Certainly one of the nicer options in the area. It was a recommendation of one of the shop owners nearby. We had an absolutely great bottle of wine recommended by the waitress, and the food was nicely presented and good — nothing to die for but nothing to complain about either. The place itself is lovely and they do have live music, in our case a really good acoustic guitar player/singer that played a lot of great pop songs. In short if you happen to be in the neighborhood and get a table you won’t regret it– it is easy to spend a nice, even romantic evening there. If you are in a different area with its own choices, no reason to take a detour here. There are plenty of great options in Lisbon — go out and find your own favorites!

My wife and i had a wonderful time at this lovely venue. I would tecommend reservations the day of or the day before as we had to wait 40 minutes on a saturday. But it is worth it! The menu changes so i can’t recommend anything. There is always live music and the wine selections is awesome.

If you’re in Lisbon, do yourself a favor and head over for wine and food. My wife ordered the Duck Confeit and I the peppers stuffed with cheese. We ended up drinking 2 bottles of red and bought a bottle to bring back. The food was absolutely delicious and staff was above helpful, friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

We came here on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm and were seated right away. There was live music going on starting 7 – 7:30pm ish and also when the restaurant got crowded. Overall it was a pleasant experience with music and tapas. Also the huge collection of wine is also a place for wine lovers.(Though you might be overwhelmed too.) The only con is that they serve you bread, olive oil, crackers and fruit plate without explicitly telling you they CHARGE for it. This might be a little bit annoying for some when the charges show up your bill at the end of the meal.

Fantastic place. My wife and I were here on a two day trip through Lisbon, and can say this was one of the best all around international dinning experiences we’ve ever had. The food was excellent, the service was superb, and we could not believe the wine selection. Ask for Alex, and have him select everything for you.

We made a reservation at 8pm on a Valentine’s day weekend and were glad we did! This wine bar/restaurant was packed with people throughout the night. The place had a great atmosphere, everyone was enjoying great wine & food, conversation and live music. There was a special course menu for two that included a variety of tapas food and chocolate fondue with sparkling wine for dessert. Since I didn’t eat meat, they offered to include more seafood and fish items to substitute for meat, great and flexible service! We had a hard time choosing wine(the entire restaurant wall is covered with wine!). We asked for some fruity white wine and brought us a bottle of Morgado Sta. Catherina. As soon as we tasted it, we knew it was the wine for the night! This local wine was very fruity and light like water and went with fish and cheese very well. The tapas food was served in a tree. Smoked salmon wraps, codfish cake with deep-friend potatoes, octopus in a pastry shell, sardine, jam, baked cheese, ham and chicken sausage(meat was just for my boyfriend). I enjoyed them all with bread and olive oil. This is one of the places that made our trip to Lisbon very special :)

The place is very cosy and classy. It has a fireplace and the whole restaurant is decorated with wine bottles, which creates a good atmosphere. Staff is friendly and they are willing to describe the traditional Portuguese dishes for tourists in a very nice way. Furthermore they’ve got a huge range of wines that one can choose from with the help of a sommelier. Eating there was really good. The only reason why I cannot give 5 stars is that the servings were smaller than expected. But I guess that is typical of that kind of haute cuisine. Dishes looked and tasted delicious, but were a little too small at times. So I am glad me and my friends were not too hungry altogether before going there.

Vale a pena ainda provar as sobremesas!
