History

Established in 1999.

The Occidental Hotel on Vulcan Lane, Auckland was built in 1870 by American sailor Mr. Edward Perkins. It was famous and known as one of the finest hotels in Auckland in those old days

In 1999 The Occidental Hotel was transformed into The Occidental Belgian Beer Café which is the first authentic Belgian Beer Café in Southern Hemisphere.
