My wife and I ate here on the first night of our honeymoon. The restaurant atmosphere is very cozy and our meal was delicious! I had a sausage and mushroom pizza while my wife had fresh locally caught fish. Great place!

What a hidden gem off the busy street! We stopped by based on the other Unilocal reviews for dinner and ordered all seafood dishes after eating so much pasta and pizza. We started out with the sautéed misto, which is a mixed seafood appetizer of clams and mussels in a white wine garlic sauce. It was amazing!!! Definitely get it if you like shellfish. We also shared the seafood linguine and it was so delicious. We then had the grilled sea bass with salad and the grilled squid. All very fresh and good. I didn’t care too much for the squid because I could taste the burnt taste but the sea bass was awesome. Very fresh and light. Needless to say, we came back the next night and ate here again. Not something we do often while on travel. This time we tried the Cappriciossa pizza and it was to die for. It was the right amount of salty I needed on a pizza. I was in love with the artichokes and the olives on there. We then shares the spaghetti carbonara. It was ok. I’ve had some that are creamier but the pasta was cooked al dente and perfecto in my opinion. For dessert we had the tiramisu. It rocked. We will be back again!!!

We were in Sorrento for five days. We ate here twice, which almost never happens when we travel. Just great food at reasonable prices.

We were there yesterday evening and had a mixed experience. The staff(winter?) was very rude and not welcoming at all. We were given the feeling that we were interrupting their discussion when walking in; an attitude they kept during the entire time we were there. The food however was really nice. My wife(gluten-intolerant) was given an excellent alternative with a gluten-free sea food pasta and I had a nice artichokes and mushroom pasta. The tiramisu was just ok. All in all a mixed bag. Great food(4⁄5 stars), but bad service(1 star at best).

In the heart of Sorrento, this is a fabulous restaurant just off the main piazza. We went for the aubergine pasta course and then the most incredible fresh whole red snapper. Incredible and not over priced

They were pretty good. Food was good. We also purchased a bottle of wine for 18 euros. The pizza was really delicious, the pasta was great. They didn’t rush us out. There was outdoor seating or inside. We sat inside they had AC! Thank god. I definitely would go back again if ever returning to Italy. Try the pizzas, the raw ham and mozzarella was a god send. It was absolutely amazing.

Nice, family-run place in a side-alley. Tables outside are very picturesque but, I think, you need to book it in advance. We were there for dinner. I had very nice grilled squid, potato croquettes and house wine. Everything was delicious. But my bf couldn’t say the same about his chicken with potatoes. It was ok but far from really good. Be careful with your choices!

Quaint back street Trattoria w ample dining space inside and upstairs. Veal Limone was good light simple and enjoyable albeit I had more tender veal. Pizza and basic pastas were also good. We spent the day on a boat so we were tired and hungry and looked for no thrills which is exactly what this place was.

Great food, great value. Outside, downstairs, upstairs… All great. Good house wine, superb seafood with pasta or brick/oven pizza. Great staff. Germans, Canadians, Brits, Italians… all represented on Saturday before Easter, soaking rain all day-wonderful energy from everyone for dinner! Bön Apetit!

At the end of an exhausting day we decided to quickly go for a dinner. We found this restaurant through The Rough Guide. We were guided to a upstairs room where we were seated. There was place for around 30 people and it was half full. We got a glass of Prosecco and some bread(sticks) at the table that sharpened our hunger. It did not figure on our bill which was fine. We took pizzas(4 cheeses and funghi) for the kids. My wife had rissotto(she asked seafruit but got funghi but did not complain as it was tasty) and I had veal. Everything tasted fine. The local red wine, Lacrima de Vesuvius, we had with it(from a large winelist) was a good companion. Probably nice to be seated on the boardwalk, but as we were tired no problem we weren’t.

My parents were recently on a European getaway, traveling through Rome, Capri and Sorrento. We had the evening in Sorrento to explore the small town and find a place to grab dinner. After grabbing an Aperol Spritz with a lovely view of the water, we decided to make our way more into Sorrento main square to try and find a place to eat. Though there were a number of restaurants lined up and down the main drags, we decided to venture off the beaten track into this little hideaway down a side street. As the last game of the World Cup(Germany v. Argentina), when we happened inside we found a bit of buzz to the place, with the game playing from a tv on the downstairs floor. We didn’t have reservations, and the place was quite packed, but there was more seating upstairs that we were able to grab. Make sure you ask for the specials! Though I settled on my favourite dish of spaghetti bolonaise(it was delightful) my parents and our family friends all decided on the special of the day which was seafood(shrimp, clams, scallops, etc.) and pappardelle. They couldn’t rave enough about it! We took a wine recommended by our waiter that matched most of the dishes(seafood!) being ordered. As two of our fellow diners have a gluten intolerance, I was surprised to see how many places in Italy were able to offer an alternative option. The same was done in this case with a homemade gluten free noodle to replace the pappardelle. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for someplace a little outside the noisier street restaurants in Sorrento!

I now know that I am definitely a neopolitan gal. No thin crackerlike crusts for me, which is what I got in Rome. Di Gigino’s crust is thin yet chewy, toppings were outstanding. We had olives, salami, mushrooms, anchovies and artichokes. There was just enough anchovy for a hint of salty goodness, but not to ovetwhelm. We had very fresh cooked veggies — green beans, and spinach, which we got with olive oil and lemon but you could also order them with butter. Fresh bread was perfectly cooked and complimentary. Fresh strawberries for dessert, with a tiny scoop of lemon ice. Best pizza I had in Italy. They have reasonably priced meals(primo and secondi piatti) on the menu as well.

Great little lunch hideaway. Outdoor seating, with all the mopeds having to idle thru the cobblestone street right next to you. A scene out of a movie. Food and service were really good and fairly priced. split a green salad and a plate of spaghetti with bacon and wonderful light pasta sauce before continuing a great journey thru the streets of sorrento

The BEST pizza I have ever had. Granted, this was my first Italian pizza and I don’t have any other comparison in the country, but this made me fall in love with Napoli pizza. Fresh mozzarella and fresh anchovies on a italian style pizza. I will never be able to eat regular pizzas again. Top it off with my new favorite find: limon soda. The restaurant was located down an alley in Sorrento next to a mini fish market, an Italian leather shop, shoe stores and other shops. I love the way that everyone is seated outside. Even though it was pretty hot that day, the alley provided enough shade for our meal. In the middle of lunch, someone drove down the narrow alley on their moped. This might have bothered some, but it added to the feeling of the town.

We stumbled across the restaurant walking from our hotel into the city center and decided to try this place due to the insane crowds during dinner time. We ordered the 4 stagioni pizza and gnocchi alla Sorrento and both we’re pretty good. The gnocci wasn’t the best I tried in Sorrento but still pretty damn good. They also had a band come in and play, which was a nice touch. Reasonable prices, typical Italian service(slow).

We dined at Da Gigino for dinner after a local shop owner recommended it. We were pleasantly surprised to be treated with a glass each of prosecco on the house before even ordering. I enjoyed the verde gnocci and my wife had the spaghetti carbonara. We split the mixed grilled meat plate for our secondi. My wife does not eat veal, and the waiter was very accommodating in substituting the veal on the meat plate for something else. In addition to the complimentary bubbly, when we received our bill we were very pleased to see we weren’t charged a cover fee. Overall a very pleasant experience with great service, prices, and food.

No cover charge. Accepts credit cards. Slow typical Italian service. Complimentary prosecco at the start of our meal. Serenading band complete with clarinet, bass, singer. Wine very reasonably priced, but we were too jet lagged to partake. They’re open daily from 12pm-11:45pm. We waited about 15 minutes on a busy Wednesday night. There’s a Christmas ornament store exactly across from the restaurant that you could kill time and buy authentic souvenirs at. They serve up delicious and yet simple Italian fare. Polipo papas was simply delicious-lemon, olive oil, and pepper. Pappardelle with shrimp and clams was fresh and the seafood was truly abundant!
