Wonderful location and wonderful food! The service was great, proper Italian fare and banter and just a pleasant atmosphere to sit and unwind after a rather long day of being a tourist!

No no and NO! Our waiter was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We ordered in Italian and our waiter was quick to correct our pronunciation. So much for having fun practicing our Italian in Italy. In all the other restaurants we have been to, our waiters have loved our try at Italian. Pizza was bland and undercooked in the middle and over-cooked on the crust. The only highlight of our visit was the Christmas lights(visiting in December). It was decorated beautifully… But hard to enjoy the atmosphere with such bad food and awfully rude waiter. As he handed us the check, he made it certain we understood«service or cover charge» is NOT included. And we were charged for BOTH. He was very pushy and watched over my shoulder while writing and signing the check.

WARNINGTOURISTS: I hate writing a bad review ever. I would rather just not write it. I have to say something this time though. This was a new low — from a place that used to be one of the highest highs. Wow what a disappointment. We have been coming here for 15 years — when there was a fantastic older couple who ran this place. They were fanstastic hosts, everything was always tasty — always friendly — always 5 stars. We visited this place TWICE on this trip in November 2015. The place is like NIGHTANDDAY. After visiting or first day for coffee and dessert, we returned the second day for lunch — and was basically abandoned in the middle of our(only ok) meal. Our waiter just disappeared! And somehow we ended up with a busboy taking over our table that literally LEERED at us when he cleared our table. Before a word was spoken to this guy — it was obvious he HATEDUS, and apparently all the other tourists in the room. We watched him LEER and sulk over all their tables as well during our lunch. Serious! Both he AND the Manager came in and did provide EXCELLENT service to the one LOCALCOUPLE seated in the center of the room, then the manager would leave(without greeting or acknowleding the other 5 tourist filled tables) and then the busboy would leer at me and ignore everyone else. We were shocked to watch this treatment over and over. When we asked the busboy for coffee with honey. «WEHAVENOHONEY!» he said. Unfortunately for him — we had been there the day before, and been served honey happily. So honey was there — he just didn’t want to be bothered. So we wait another 15 minutes for coffee — it never comes. When I go to pay the bill — I tell the Lady with the death stare eyes that we would have ordered coffee and dessert — but the waiter had abandoned us and she says«Very busy — sorry» and then thrusts the recipt at me says«You have a problem?» and at that point the angry busboy /waiter comes around the corner giving me the«I totally hate you» glare — and I tell her — «Dude! Look at your little dude there — Thats the problem» We asked for HONEY — and He is the guy who lied to us about there not being honey — and then abandoned us. Now LOOKATHIM Looking around the room like he wants to fight everybody!“ Her look of «I could not care less» could not have been more sincere from her. «We are Busy» she said. THEN my wife comes around the corner — bending the ear of the«manager» about the same thing — and HEGIVESZERO cares — and basically escorts her out the DOOR! «You go…» Yep We Go. EASILY the most offensive dining experience we have ever had — anywhere. THESEPEOPLEARENOTTOURISTFRIENDY. PLEASEBRINGBACKTHEPREVIOUSOWNERS /MANAGERS. We LOVE(d) THISPLACE… so sad.

Located on the water at Marina Grande in Sorrento, this restaurant features fresh seafood. The seating includes a pier into the water of the marina. The atmosphere is great with white jacketed waiters and a waterside formality. The food was very good. Had a sea bass meal that was excellent and cleaned at tableside. My wife had a salmon dish. As a bonus, if you are not staying near the restaurant, have your hotel call and they will pick you up.

Totally not impressed with this place. The waiters were harried and just trying to get orders in as fast as possible so that they could move on to the next table, dishes were clanking loudly as they shoved them into the upstairs dumb waiter and the service was horrible. We had the three-course special. The pasta course was great, but the Chicken Milano was straight out of a middle school lunch room on mystery meat day. The chocolate(?) cake/pie served as dessert left a bad aftertaste. To add insult to injury, we asked for some bread because the first course was taking so long, and they charged us for the bread. Never again. After two weeks in Italy, this was the worst meal so far.

Very good pizza but the waiter criticized my partner for, of all things, saying grazie. I know, sounds weird. We won’t return, of course. Plenty of other restaurants to try out.

The special seafood risotto is a must-try. Best risotto I’ve ever had! Ask them for it as it’s not on the menu. Great pizza as well. Huge portions for everything… The waiter was super friendly and funny, and he gave us limoncello and meloncello(?) at the end. They have nice live music that brought you back to the 60s. The tiramisu was the only downside of it. The mascarpone cheese tastes almost like icing just to look good.

I’ve been in Italy for almost 2 weeks and have had pretty amazing experiences for dinner until tonight. It was so bad I felt the need to take time from my honeymoon to write this. First of all, as soon as we sat down we had the waiter behind us yelling at the bus boy, the bus boy was slamming things down so loudly that I asked to have our seat moved just to get away from the noise of them yelling at each other and him slamming things down. It took forever for them to take our order and when they did the waiter was abrasive and abrupt. The food was the worst part: I ordered an € 18 sea bass that looked like it had been tossed on the floor and picked back up on my plate. I’m kicking myself for not taking a photo. It was the worst presentation of food I’ve seen in my life, I’m shocked they gave it to me. The flavor wasn’t much better. The only saving grace of the meal was the wine that we picked out. The service was so bad the family next to us threatened to not pay for their whole meal to the waiter. Honestly worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant in my life. I couldn’t believe the amount of Michelin awards on the window. I respect those recognitions far less now.

After reading reviews and looking at the pictures, I was pretty sure we were mainly going for the warm atmosphere. It was a cooler than night than usual for early May, so warm and cozy fit our needs. We sat at a small corrner table on the top floor surrounded by the unique wood architecture. We ordered the prix fixe’ dinner. It was mediocre. Not bad, not great. The waiter was pleasant enough, but all were rushed. I would not necessarily go back for the food, but loved the woodsy décor

Nice atmosphere and decent traditional food. Unfortunately our waiter was abrupt and related to us in a rude manner. It was clear that we were treated like tourists and I guess American tourists at that. Abruptly asked if we wanted our check! Never asked us about café./coffee. Also seemed to ask for a tip. Did we want pepper or extra cheese??? no limoncello. If the waiter was better our visit would have been pleasant.

Warm inviting Interior with small tables along the side and banquet tables in the middle. The second floor also has small tables around the sides with an open center area. I ordered a simple spaghetti with tomato and basil followed by a grilled, on an open flame, pork chop. first came a very generous portion of spaghetti that was steaming hot & cooked perfect and delicious! The Parmesan cheese„ which is often a disappointment at most restaurants, was the best quality. So far very good… I know it’s easy to fall in love over a bottle of wine. Fortunately, tonight in Sorrento, it was with the pork chop, cooked perfect in a bed of olive oil! If you come to Sorrento, come to Zintonio’s with an appetite. Went back a second night and tried the veal scallopini. Really good in a light sauce nice, tasted delicious! This place is batting hundred percent. They also have a very fast, free Wi-Fi connection.

We spent 10 days in Rome and the Almalfi Coast and this was our favorite restaurant in Italy. The have the best pizza anywhere and the Cannelloni with smoked mozzarella is amazing.

Best mussels we have ever had, delicious food overall, fantastic wine recommendation, and adorable setting in the heart of Sorrento. The waiter was the sweetest person EVER– super attentive, and hard working, has been there for 14 years. We loved it so much, we went to their sister restaurant on the sea, Zi’ntonio Mare on the Marina Grande for our last sunset dinner in town… can’t wait to someday return.

Big Restaurant with many different rooms. Great décor. We had a fixed menu that included appetizers of grilled veggies & seafood bites, first course ravioli(delicious), 2nd course meats & seafood… finally dessert was a rum cake which was delicious and strong! ;-) Great house wine also! Overall great lunch!
