Great service, great food, great prices! It was busy in the evening but we even given a drink while we waited. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Rome! We recommend the mixed bruschetta, oxtail ragout, and spaghetti with clams!

Bad/slow service here. My husband and I stumbled here and decided to try this place out since it looked full. When I entered, it took the staff a while to notice and seat us. After we ordered, they served us bread. We asked for olive oil and vinegar, and the staff had to ask another table to relinquish it. It seems that they’re short on supplies. We noticed that a server dropped a fork, and went to get a new one only to find out that there were no more clean forks so she had to get that one washed. The table next to us was waiting ages to pay their bill via credit card. The guy had to go up to the counter to pay, and found out that there were a number of credit cards also waiting to be charged. We were seated outside and waited close to an hour for our food that never came. As we looked around, it seemed that the majority of the diners there were waiting for their food. I think the restaurant is severely short staffed. We decided to just leave as it started to rain on us. Not a great experience.

Accessibility(Parking /Wait Time) 0⁄1 Star: I walked here. 15 minute wait to be seated outside when I wanted to be inside due to the chance of rain. _____ Service(Waiter /Cleanness /Ambiance) 0⁄1 Star: HORRIBLESERVICE! Was given a non-English menu and had to wait a while for an English one. There was only 1 waiter who spoke English so I had to wait for him to take my order. All waiters either ignored me or expressed that they were busy whenever I tried to talk to any of them. The ambience was poor. There was scaffolding holding up the ceiling. The light ballasts obviously needed to be replaced since the lights indoors were flickering so much they would give anyone a headache by the end of their meal. The outdoor seating did not have enough coverage and I got rained on. I don’t like second hand smoke, and got a big helping of it. I was seated outdoors and the tables near me had active smokers. _____ Taste(0=Not Edible /1=Edible /2=Good(average) /3=Must Try!) 0⁄3 Stars: waited an hour and was only served bread. The bread tasted bad. Had to ask for olive oil which took the waiter a few minutes to find a table not using theirs so they can bring it to me. I was only a party of two and both of us ordered basic spaghetti dishes. An hour pasted and I noted that 3 tables that were seated before us still didn’t get their food. I was falling asleep at the wobbly outdoor table when it started to rain. Left hungery and wet! Worst experience ever!!! What a waste of my time! _____ Overall Experience 0⁄5 Stars _____ Last Words ZEROSTARS!!! DON’T EATHERE!!! Lots of people here not because it’s good but because it tastes over an hour to get a simple spaghetti dish.

Ahhhhh!!! My first time in Rome and we stumbled upon this place while trying to kill some time before we had to leave. I wanted to try the pasta at this place. The only problem was that I wasn’t too hungry. This scenario was my worst nightmare. I went against my gut and ordered pasta(spaghetti with red sauce) anyway. I convinced my husband prior to ordering that he would have to have some pasta since there was no way I could finish it. Long story short: he got one forkful of pasta because I ate the rest of it… Our table also ordered wine. It was super affordable(9 euros for a liter). Restrooms are clean and staff is friendly.

The restaurant itself is nice and quaint in a good location. We sat on the outside terrace, and the service was pretty decent. But that’s where the pros end. This was the first time we had bland, boring food in Italy(mind you, we had already been in Italy for a week). I ordered the Pasta Arrabiata. It wasn’t garlicky or spicy. It tasted like penne and canned tomato sauce. On the plus side, I give them points for presentation. The food and table settings were very nice, but I would not revisit this place.

I’m with Brittany on this — 3 stars just does not reflect the quality of the food, ambience and service especially just a stone’s throw from the coliseum. Great value for money and a place we wouldn’t hesitate to come back to. The place was humming and tables were filled as soon as they were vacated. Diners were about half tourists and half Italian — a good sign! We had bruschetta(‘nduja and taleggio) followed by pasta with a rabbit ragout and I went with octopus ragout. We had a pannacotta and a tiramisu for dessert and everything was really good. To drink we had 2 small beers, a demi-litre of house wine and 2 glasses of vin santo. Our bill came to € 63 including a small cover charge and a complementary limoncello. We left sated and happy.

We stopped by this place as we were walking by and were hungry. We were scared once again we had fallen for a tourist trap but the food here is actually very good and the outdoor patio is nice. Waiters were friendly as well. We both got pasta(Alla amatriciana and cuttlefish ink pasta). Both very good. Highly recommend. Not far from colloseum

We first visited Gli Angeletti 14 years ago, when this part of Monti had not been discovered by the tourists. It had excellent food then, friendly service, and a lovely location off to the side of the Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, with outside tables. It quickly became our regular place. We returned this week — and had a great lunch and great dinner! Every selection was good, and there are several stars on the menu — the starter of polenta, truffles and soft cheese and the crème caramel for dessert are two. The service is Italian, with its own rhythm, and most there are related to each other and are wonderful people, charming and delightful. We ended our meals with the traditional digestifs and excellent coffee. Despite tourists having discovered the area and this restaurant, we will visit every time we visit Rome.

Food was OK, not anywhere near the best we had in Rome, but not the worst either. Overpriced by a couple euros per dish, but given proximity to the Collesium, that wasn’t a huge surprise.

are you kidding me? this place only has 3 stars?! that is ridiculous. This place was absolutely perfect. It was right around the corner from our B&B so we stopped in on our first night. Although poppa bear was ravenous, we were willing to wait to be seated because the place was clearly popular and the dishes coming out looked fabulous. Every single dish we ate was magnificent, but an extra special shout out to the life-changing polenta with truffled burrata and fresh-shaved truffle! we returned 2 nights later(asking ahead of time if they could accommodate a party of 9, because my family from Florence joined us), and they were extremely nice about it. Daniel is an excellent server with a great sense of humor. Everyone was thrilled. That night they were out of the burrata, so on our very last morning in Rome we returned AGAIN at noon to have it one last time. We also had the salmon carpaccio with shaved fennel, and it was just perfect. It is very rare for me to want to return to the same place over again while on vacation, but we were treated with such warmth and enjoyed the food and experience so much, we had to return again. five stars, all the way!

Good food but expensive and got suckered in bc of proximity. I got ox tail ragout which was hearty and cooked fall off the bone style. Gf got pasta carbonara which was cheesy yet tasteful. Got the mixed bruschetta which was a refreshingly delight due to different combinations. Overall good food but could probably venture elsewhere

My motto while trying to eat downtown is: avoid tourist traps at any cost! Well today I couldn’t, we were starving! So we went in and with a quick view to the menu we knew it was meant to lure tourists in with some kind of Italian charm and of course they have the beautiful grapevines growing in the patio, so pretty well played. We started with the eggplant rolls stuffed with a chickpea cream thing they were good but a pinch of salt was needed. Then we proceeded to the unavoidable pasta dish, and I say unavoidable because c’mon it’s Rome! So, I ordered the spaghetti with Rosemary, sun dried tomatoes and peperoncini and my husband asked for the tagliatelle all’ Nero di sepia, which is squid ink. My pasta was very good surprisingly but very spicy! Be careful when you order something with peperoncini. My husband said his was fine. So bottom line, service could be better but not bad, food is good, prices are not! I mean if you are really hungry go in and enjoy yourself and how Italians say, salute!

The food was amazing but we were so disappointed with the lack of service. We ordered and got our food quickly then became invisible:(The previous review about no communication amongst staff was spot on!

Fisch.
