I stopped by one evening for dinner. It was near the apartment that my boyfriend and I were staying at and they had a nice outdoor patio area. We were seated pretty quickly, but after that the service was quite slow. It took about 10 – 15 minutes for our waiter to come back and take our order. By that time, we were starving. We ordered a caprese salad to start and I ordered the penne al salmone for my main dish. I really enjoyed the caprese salad, the cheese was so fresh and delicious. The penne al salmone was good, but I wish they had bigger salmon pieces. It didn’t seem like there was any salmon in the dish at all. Plus, the portion size was very small for the price. They gave you this HUGE plate, but the food only took up 1⁄3 of the plate. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I don’t think I’d come back here if I were in Rome again.

Dommage.

Super casual little café on a quiet piazza. Recommended to us by locals for breakfast. Nice and accommodating. Locals and tourists alike hang there for food, café or a break.

This place is mediocre to me. Nothing special, just another café with a mix of local businessmen stopping for their caffe or meeting and some tourists. It’s a bit pricier due to its proximity to a tourist centre and the service can be especially slow when you are sitting outside, slow even for Italian standards in my opinion. I ordered the salmon and rocket sandwich, my partner had a mushroom omelette. Both were not memorable meals.

Food was terrible but the ambiance was nice. Free access to provincia wifi due the proximity to the public square. Wine was good. Come for drinks and nice outdoor seating ambiance.

Not only is it located in a wonderfully peaceful piazza, the La Bottega staff is friendly while serving the most delicious pasta and most delightful Tiramisu. If I could eat here every day I would. And almost did.

we dined here on our first day in rome. the service is strange. we couldn’t figure out who was our waiter. all we could do is observe and wait. finally, he came to take our order ~ bottled water, prosceco, salad and pizza. the pizza is the best i’ve had. love the thin crispy crust of my proscuitto pizza. it was a great start to our roman holiday. we recommend this place if you want good pizza.

My friend and I were on a hunt for gelato, and when we failed to find Fatamorgana, we got really hungry and ended up here since it was the only place that was open at 11am and ready for food. We ordered the penne with salmon and a cappuccino. The penne was good but no salmon. it was only 8 euros though which was pretty cheap and unexpected. The café is quite cute and has a lot of outdoor seating for a nice sunny day. When we walked back to the area around 2pm or so, we saw that the entire place was packed, so clearly a popular place. I just like it because it’s small, cheap, and seems to be a solid place for some quick food.

Delightful place for breakfast/lunch. Food was very good but not overwhelmingly great. Great cappuccino. Atmosphere is delightful. The outside area is enclosed by latticework covered in plants. Very relaxing and more importantly, cool.

This is a small caffe recommended by my travel guide«Rome Day By Day». It’s out of tourist area, yet not too far from Roman Forum. After having visited Colosseum under very hot sun, we walked to this caffe which tucked in a small piazza, We ordered Prosciutto panini, rocket salad with wild mushrooms and parmesan cheese, spaghetti carbonara and thinly sliced beef. They were all good. We were happy with the food and the AC because it was very hot. It was recommended to sit outside but it was too hot to do so. During our lunch, we observed something interesting. There was stream of locals dressed for office coming to this caffe and having their coffee. They would lined up at the cashier to pay the coffee first, then went to the coffee counter, passed the receipt to the guy behind the counter, got what they ordered and then drank their coffee. They would stay for no more than 5 – 10 minutes and then leave. This caffe must be a great one because there were so many locals who came for the coffee.
