Apt is the latest Roman cocktail bar in 1930s style, but it’s not a speakeasy, making a pleasant change. We arrived at about 9.30pm on a Saturday, and while tables were booked for after midnight it was easy to get a spot at that hour and order a drink. Located in the former Casa Clementina, for those of you that know Monti, Apt has a lovely atmosphere and the bar staff seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the punters. The cocktail menu is good, and my Americanotto was tasty, although not spectacular. We ordered a platter of cheese and coldcuts to share which was very reasonable at € 10. The music was pretty heavy on swing and some unusual retro numbers which is fun to a certain extent but you might need a change at some point in the night. Cocktails cost a pretty standard(for Rome) € 10-€ 12, come in vintage glasses, and the vintage outfits of the bar staff and DJ were pretty delightful.
