La Taverna di Venere

This was THE WORST meal I think I’ve ever had. Thankfully none of us got sick… But the chewy, tasteless seafood was gross enough to make anyone nauseous. The service was horrible, our waiter happily said «ciao!» during our meal and the lady who was supposed to take over surfaced about less than one time after that… The spaghetti tasted like it had been sitting in water for days and the white wine was almost hot. I’m disappointed in Unilocal because the people who have rated this as a good restaurant are obviously used to eating things like frozen fish sticks and calling that a good meal. If you have traveled a long way to Cinque Terre and are looking for GOOD food, do NOT waste your money here. Will never return

Nice house wine by the carafe (noticed the locals ordered it)
Service was okay
Trenette with seafood (tons of mussels) and pesto trenette were very good
Grilled fish and insalata mista were also good
The interior of restaurant is very nice
