was admittedly a little hesitant with some of the negative reviews leading up to our stay but this became one of our favorite hotels during our entire trip. The location first is an absolute plus. It is exceedingly easy to walk, or even take public transit with the very easy and helpful directions from the staff to the city centre. Given that most people visiting Florence want to see the culture, walking the streets has always been our method of choice, and the streets around the hotel are out of the tourist glut that characterizes many other parts of the city. This made our experience… Being in a slightly quieter spot while being equally close to some of the coolest spots in Italy that are frequented by plenty of locals (San Spirito).
The hotel didn’t offer free wifi, but not a huge deal given the options for hourly, or daily rates if needed. Breakfast was also not part of the deal, but given the pricewe paid, it was still more than worth skipping the fairly standard breakfasts in most hotels across Italy (cold meats, breads, coffee, granola cereals, fruits, and some eggs and bacon… Not exceptional to drastically accept a much higher priced room).
The best part of the room was definitely the décor and it’s size. We were given an upgrade to an executive sized room and if you have that opportunity, you should definitely take it. We don’t have a standard room to compare to, but this was huge, spacious, and beautifully equipped. Very new, very modern, and the trippiest and coolest LED lighting system that made the room seem like modernist Las Vegas meets Florence. It was awesome, the showers were strong, the bathrooms were clearly redone, the hallways were super cool with their door décor, and the reception desk was extremely hospitable and accommodating.
We would most definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. Flatly disagree with the previous recent negative comments about the hotel… Our experience was sensational, and while the room upgrade probably helped, it was one of the best hotels we had in all of Italy with a truly accommodating, and warm hotel staff. Of note, on the second night we returned to Florence en route to Rome, we actually had another hotel already booked… The Hotel Ambasciatori. This was good, but out of the two spots, Hotel Una was far and away the better pick.

UNA Hotel Vittoria was very strange as another Unilocaler commented. The rooms are clean and spacious and nice, I’ve never seen anything like them before, and likely never will again. The staff was helpful and earns an extra star for helping me track down my iPhone after it fell out of my pocket in a cab they had called for me.
The hotel was reasonably priced, although I see no reason for not offering free wi-​fi like all the other hotels we stayed at in Italy. The hotel isn’t centrally located for everything in Florence, but it was kind of nice to walk the 15 minutes in the peace and quiet away from all the hubbub in the center of the city.

Very peculiar hotel just across the bridge from Central Florence. The UNA Hotel Vittoria is a very modern place, with all services you may need. The staff is helpful, and the bar offers a free buffet during happy hour, with some delicious finger food. There are two separate outdoor spaces, one in front of the hotel, and one in an inside garden accessible from the lobby. Rooms are also very modern, with flat TV, and the bathroom’s wall made of glass, so that you can shower feeling like you’re at the window! Fortunately I had my own room: D In general I had a pleasant stay. Pity only that the Wi-​Fi is not included in the price and must be paid separately… I wonder why they don’t just rise prices of a few Euro and include it!
