Starhotels Michelangelo

This is our third hotel while in Italy and clearly the best! We have been to hotels in Rome and Venice and this recently renovated Florence hotel is much nicer, larger, and modern in comparison to the previous two. If you are looking for a hotel that would resemble a Las Vegas or US hotel this is the choice.

In the center of Florence, near the Arno river, and at walking distance from the Santa Maria Novella station, while the historical center may be a bit too far if you’re not used to walk a lot. I have been here three times, the first using only the conference room, the other two to stay overnight. The hotel, as all those of the Starhotels group, is well furnished and with all usual services. The staff is helpful and has always suggested us good places to eat in the neighbor area. Rooms are not very big but enough, bathrooms are pretty small though and once I stayed at the last room by the end of the corridor and can assure you it wasn’t very comfortable. Wi-​Fi is available in the rooms but must be paid separately.
