Open space and an all-in-one bar/bakery/restaurant/café made Reverse an easy choice to grab an Aperitivo — we got the buffet and a drink for 8 €! The buffet was a mix of sandwiches, pastas, rice, chips, sauces, cheese, and even chocolate croissants. Not enough for a full meal(unless you wanted to), but a great mix of foods to try at an unbeatable price.

Clean high-tech Milano-style Italian design with big-screens that draw a big crowd of Italians on soccer or rugby nights. Free fast stable reliable internet connection — worth visiting for this reason alone. But the food is also fantastic — a limited but tasteful menu, especially strong on seafood and anti-pasta dishes. Always made to order. Nice all-you-can-eat apero-buffet in the evenings too for those on a budget. Very affordable compared to most restaurants in the Duomo vicinity. Full bar of course. Best Spritz-cocktail in Florence! Family-owned and operated with fast friendly English-speaking servers. If you need dark paneling and white linen table-cloths go elsewhere. But if you want a tasty meal, fast wifi, in a squeaky-clean ultra-modern Italian atmosphere this is for you.

Very modern bar. A bit on the high end perhaps but also a quality place. Great for happy hour and fresh crowd.

A pretty new bar in Florence, this place has a modern style with a friendly staff. The coffee and pastries are quite good and the price is reasonable being in the center of town. Their 8 € aperitivo starts early around 645pm, but you need to wait a bit for the food to really come out. It is mostly finger foods, mini gerkens, sandwiches, spreads and one or two hot dishes that weren’t anything special. The drinks were great(try the Hugo), but the aperitivo food left you wanting more… more of something else! Go in for a quick espresso, but skip the aperitivo.

I went to Reverse as a guest at a private function, so I can’t remark on certain elements. Our event was an aperitivo that had a good amount of food, but nothing spectacular. They offered mostly finger sandwiches and spreads. At one point they brought out two dishes of hot food, a lentil soup, which was quite good and filling, and a pasta dish which was less than fabulous. The pasta was comprised of speck, artichokes and red peppers. The flavour combination wasn’t exactly good. They finished up with a selection of biscotti. So, the food was abundant but less than fab, the cocktails, décor, and service in the other hand, were great. I ordered a vodka fruit frappé, which was great, though weak. The Mojitos and wine cocktails were made with great care and the wine list and bar selection relatively extensive. This is the type of place I’d go to for a drink, but I’d eat elsewhere.
