When I went to Lorenzo de Medici this was my go to spot. It’s a hidden gem. I waited to write this review until I left Florence so this spot wasn’t exploited, but it started getting increasingly popular right before I left. Great food, awesome service, and good prices. Hard to beat. I miss it every day.

Wonderful little hole in the wall right down from the central market. We had a lovely cheese and meat plate and several glasses of red wine. The proprietor topped us off a couple times too! Others were having sandwiches that looked really good.

My favorite place ever. I know I should try new places around since I’m only here for so long, but I need to go here because I’m gonna miss it like crazy when I go home. Hands down best bread you’ve had(yes it’s even better than it looks) and the pesto is out of this world. They cut the meats delightfully thin but it’s not one of those annoying places where there’s literally one slice and it’s all bread. Ingredients always look fresh and mouth watering. The two different sandwich boys I’ve had were as nice and fun as they were cute. And there’s even indoor seating! I should probably stop going three times a week. But the student deal for 3 euros is way too good. I might go today. Yum.

I’m surprised this place hasn’t been reviewed yet because their sandwiches are really good and fresh! I was recommended coming here by some friends who live around in this neighborhood in my study abroad program. As students, we get 3 euro sandwiches; SO worth it considering the quality of what is given. Otherwise, a standard sandwich is around 4 – 5 euro, depending what you get in it. Still not bad! Finally made a visit here today and got a porchetta focaccia sandwich with stracchino cheese and eggplant. They toast the bread with the meat right in front of you and then add on the cheese & other condiments later so it’s nice and crispy. Service is so friendly here as well! The guy at the counter was really patient explaining all the spreads and extras to add in the sandwich. There is also plenty of seating inside and outside the tiny restaurant. This place definitely makes it into my favorite panini places in Florence, the other one being All’Antico which is closer to where my study abroad apartment is. Because they’re not in close proximity, I would come here if I’m in the more touristy area of Florence.
