Really cheap Sichuan food(seems normal for the area), otherwise food is average/forgettable and not worth visiting, and the place doesn’t look too clean. Rome’s Tin House and Xiang Zi are both better choices in Italy. Oh and one of the waiters kept walking to our table every 2 minutes which was really weird…

After wayyy too much pasta, this rice boy needed to get in touch with his inner Chinaman and hit up some Chinese places and after Unilocaling and walking past this place and seeing all of the Chinos in this place, it should be a safe bet that the food will be good. What I didn’t expect however was how good, I split my time between Philly, Manhattan, and Flushing and needless to say I’m not a novice when it comes to Chinese food and this place can stand on its own against any of the places from there. Some of the more memorable dishes are the spicy sichuan pig’s feet and sautéed cabbage that provided the right amount of seasoning and crunch. The terrible waitstaff is nostalgic and reminiscent of home and usually an indicator of quality of food in Chinese restaurants, I swear, worldwide the shittier the service the better the chinese food.

Food was really delicious and authentic. However, it was too loud and service was really off! The dishes we ordered came out in one hour intervals! Wth?!?

The food is real Chinese food instead of the super sweet Chinese food. But be ready! Be Ready!!! For the forever waiting after you order the food, it toke me 40 mins until seeing anything on the table.

I came here the other night with a group of friends finally after months of wanting to try this restaurant. I always figured this place must be good or got something going on because everytime I pass by there are groups of people waiting outside. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait an hour for our table. The staff were great because they took our order in advance so when our table was finally ready we came in to find the food already set out on the table. While we waited outside we ordered a bottle of wine and they let us drink outside. The food was amazing ! Worth the wait in my opinion and I hate waiting. I ordered the fish soup which was mildly spicy, filled with chinese sauerkraut. It was so delicious and the broth was amazing. Everyone in my dinner party loved their dish and we were stuffed … can’t wait to come back! If you are in town and need a break from pasta, you must try this place. Also worth to note is that 90 percent of the clientele were Chinese locals/tourists. Best Chinese cuisine I’ve had so far in town.

After eating Italian food for the last week, we needed a break. Found this Chinese restaurant via Unilocal and thank goodness we did, otherwise the wife would have killed me! LOL! Anyways, I love this place. Food was quick, hot(temperature and spiciness) and well priced! We ordered the usual white rice, tofu soup, sautéed green beans, fried prawns, chicken wings, and dumplings. Everything was good except for the dumplings. I’ve had my own divine experience with dumplings so it’s not quite fair to put these dumplings down. Are they that bad? Not really but I wouldn’t order them again. The chicken wings were very tasty with a cumin touch and was a bit in the salty side as some reviews have mentioned. But I found the perfect solution: eat white rice with it like the rest of the customers and DAMN it’s freaken good! Would I recommend this place? Yes. Would I come back to eat? Heck yes! ***Caution: when walking from the central market, there is also another Chinese restaurant on the same street with a #34 by its door also called«La Felicita». Just keep walking down toward the end of the block and then you’ll see the restaurant on the left.***

Great Chinese restaurant from Sichuan! Located in the heart of the city, you won’t find pastas here(noodles maybe) but very good dishes from this Chinese region which is know for its spicy cuisine: so my advice is: go easy with the spices here. How spicy the dishes are is graded on the menu(0, 1, 2 or 3 peppers) and i would recommend to stop at 2. We had a variation of spice and 2 was a bit too much. We tasted some pork, beef, cucumbers which the names i totally forgot but we found all that quite good and authentic — it reminded me of what i tasted in China and besides, there were some people from China that seems to enjoy their meal so I would say that this is an authentic restaurant. On a Saturday night, it is better to call ahead or to be prepared to wait a bit in the streets. Prices were really low and the service so and so, not very nice but quite efficient.

This place was packed when we arrived but we were seated right away in the back. They didn’t have a mixed dish that was chicken and vegetables which was strange. It was either dishes with all chicken or all vegetables. We got a beef and vegetables mixed dish and it was pretty darn good. However, toward the end of the meal I bit into a small seed that instantly covered my mouth in this awful tasting soap and for about an hours, I was stuck with an absolutely horrid taste in my mouth. I couldn’t seem to wash it out with anything. I tried to figure out exactly what it was and my best guess is a raw coriander seed, but whatever it was was so disgusting. Anyway, I’m sure that was an exception to the norm, because this place has good reviews. In general, our dish was quite good but the beef was very rubbery/chewy. It’s a good place, not great!

We decided to try out this new place with a massive Unilocal community participation since we’d heard rumors it was special. I wouldn’t define it a proper Chinese restaurant, at least not the traditional one we are used to experience here. It is true though, that Florence is opening itself up to new cultures in a way that it never had before; whole pieces of the city evolving rapidly in multiethnic little districts and exotic food is now more and more popular. Although it looks like a Chinese restaurant, I had this feeling this is the place where Chinese people come for Mexican food. La carte, mainly meat based, shows a majority of spicy, mid-spicy and hell-spicy dishes. All are well described in the menu, pictures equipped, where you can pick plates with different sauces, also ask the server to kindly reduce the pepper to a bearable minimum. I cannot speak for meat dishes, but I had a taste of this immense portion of hyper-spicy fish with Chinese cabbage. Very very good, very very hot. Please note vegetable choices are still cooked with meat broth, so beware, my beloved Vegetarians! They still have a lot to improve but it’s on my Try again list!

Good food, always a wait and they are not very organised to handle the crowd they attract. Try Dynastic Tang if you are craving Chines food: it is close by, friendly with well priced food.

We came here for dinner twice during the 3 nights we stayed in Florence. Spotty service and all, the spicy chicken wings in the wok were BOMB! It was so refreshing to get some spicy chinese food to wash down all the influx pizza/pasta/bread we were having. This place gets SUPER packed around 7PM. You gotta stand in line while watching people chowing down with the most satisfied faces. It’s kind of torturous, but at the same time you’re thinking that’s gonna be me soon! if you’re looking for piping hot spicy chinese food this is the place, just don’t expect to be waited on.

I’m a Chinese and I’ve lived in Chongqing(which was part of Sichuan) for many years, and this is not only the best Sichuan restaurants in Florence, but I’d say it’s better than most Sichuan restaurants in China as well! Chongqing Yu er ji(chicken) is a must order! But remember to order something fresh and not so spicy as well… Cause it gets hard to digest all that chilly peppers in the end!

Amazing Sichuanese food in the heart of the tourist area of Florence. You’ll get incredibly well fed for far less money than at any of the Italian tourist traps. Service non existent but at these prices who cares? Had the boiled fish, tripe in chili oil, shredded cabbage, rice and two beverages for a grand total of € 23, with no cover charge. The place was packed with diners when I went there, and it’s easy to see why.

No service of which to speak of, but excellent Szechuan food in the heart of Firenze. Large portions, excellent prices, if only a bit salty for my palate.

Some Chinese friends introduced me to this incredible restaurant. The food is Szechuan and it is phenomenal! It’s the most authentic spicy Szechuan food in Florence. We ordered a lot of different dishes and shared it between the 6 of us. All of it was so good. The service is fast and it is packed with people so I’d recommend booking a table.
