This is the place I often go to for a take away lunch. You have the option of a panino, minestrone, or even a torta salata, but I usually got for a bit of pizza, an arancina, and what ever else was baked that morning. The pizza is bakery style focaccia, so it is quite high and bready with no cheese. The crust is fantastic, it’s an olive oil crust that is soft and pillowy in the middle, crusty on the bottom and dry on the top. It’s extremely good. The onion or the zucchini are my favourites so far, but their offerings change daily. The arancine are stuffed with mozzarella, peas, and sometimes ham. They do them«bianca» so don’t expect the traditional sauce and ground beef. As a Sicilian that grew up eating arancine, I can say they do a pretty good job. Not the best, but definitely respectable. I’ve also tried the ricotta and ham stuffed pizza pockets, and the radicchio, potato and cheese filled torta salata. I have yet to be disappointed. The service is quick and friendly, and the staff do their best to make you happy. They will also heat up anything you order, which isn’t typical of a gastronomia/bakery. Everything is sold by weight, beware the price is a bit higher than other places, likely due to the location and clientele, but worth it.
