I’m giving this a 5 star rating but it’s mainly for one guy who works there rather than being reflective of the entire establishment.
I’m pretty sure his name is James (I hope I’m right!). I have to say he is a top class barber/​hairdresser. I’ve gotten a number of haircuts from him and I’m always very happy. He really puts in the effort and spends time on your hair. He’s always friendly, polite and courteous without being overly talkative which I like because it means he is focusing on the haircut allowing me to relax.
I’ve got haircuts from some of the other barbers there and they can be a bit hit and miss. Nothing puts me in a bad mood more than a bad haircut and feeling that someone isn’t putting in an effort so now I specifically ask for James. If this means waiting longer or even coming back the next day it’s worth it. And I’m not the only one, I think most of the regular clientele know he’s the best and wait for him.
Again I hope I’m right about his name, James. He is tallish, black hair, and is always working at the first barbers chair behind the cash register. Ask for him!
