Hi there. When I first came to Ireland one of my first things to get done was a haircut. And boy oh boy did I find me a barber. These guys in this shop have the typical Irish humor and i helps a lot that one of them used to live in Copenhagen not far from where I used to live.(So every time my daugthers are coming over from Denmark he force me to tell them to bring Danish Tuborg Gold Beer). But these guys really can make a real flattop as a flattop must be, the good old military stile. And a great plus is it is only next door to the Ha’Penny bridge Inn. And they always plays awesome good music. Keep up the good wok . ANDHEREITIS ! The ultimate baber/soldier poem. A soldier brave from Dublin Lay in some foreign land His comrades standing by could see That death was close at hand They listened with an anxious ear, To hear what he might say. They knew that he would not live Ere dawn another day. O comrades said the dying man one fond last wish I crave Just take me back to «Darcy’s Shop» To have a decent shave In days gone by, he cut my hair, And made me look sprunce and clean And many a time, in «Darcy’s Shop» Some splendid work I’ve seen My father who died long ago out in a distant land, Had youth and pleasure in his looks When cut by «Darcye’s» hand. And when he reached the Golden Gate No one told him to stop,. The angels standing by could see, He had his shave at «Darcye’s Shop». Sign in the window at Regent’s Barber shop. Who wrote is unknown, but as an former proff. soldier I just love that poem.

Being female with long locks and a lack of facial hair, I have little need for the services of a barber. But Regent’s Barber Shop in Temple Bar is a quirky little place which I love purely because of the random array of knick knacks on display in the front window. There’s old scissors and cut-throat shaving blades, bottles of aftershave and a hilarious collection of old advertisements for male hair dye and haircare products. The interior design inside the shop seems to be similarly chaotic and old-style. They do hot towel shaves which I know is a real treat, the male equivalent of a facial or somesuch.
