Having forgotten my work shoes, I ran into Cinders to buy a pair of ‘Heavenly Shoes’ pimsoles. Purchase done, and € 60 lighter(€ 30 more than I expected to pay), I went to work. About 5 minutes into my shift(20 minutes after purchasing the shoes), the back of the right shoe SPLIT! I had to continue my shift in a co-worker’s spare pair of shoes(not pleasant), before I could get across to Cinders on my lunch break. Arrived, shoes and receipt with me, to be informed, VERY patronisingly that of course they wouldn’t do a refund because ‘well… you wore them outside the store…’. I explained that obviously that is what one would expect to do with a pair of shoes, and that having a brand new € 60 pair of shoes break within even LESSTHANANHOUR of purchasing them, I would expect a refund or at least a replacement. Both the original sales woman and the manager were unbelievably rude and refused any form of compensation and ‘how on earth could I expect to be refunded for shoes I wore outside.’ Realising we had hit an impass, I told them that heavenly shoes were more a hell than heaven and left, ripped off, p***ed off and with 4 minutes left of my lunch break. Seriously bad quality products, bad attitudes and bad customer service. Avoid if you can.

Carry down to size 34 which is almost impossible to find for trendy practical shoes. Very helpful after many days of no success all over town and ended up finding a great pair of boots that fit my small feet and were a reasonable price.

Cinders sells good quality, designer shoes, with price tags to match. The leather boots look like they’d last years, and the small selection of officey heels look fairly comfortable. Flat, practical, comfortable leather brogues are in abundance here. The sales here draw my mammy in, when they offer really substantial discounts.

I agree with Jo that Cinders is fairly typical. They have a lovely selection of practical shoes; nothing is really show-stopping or spectacular, but we all can’t wobble around in high heels all the time now can we? I feel like Cinders is geared more toward a more mature crowd, i.e. — your mom. They have a great variety of practical shoes like loafers, low heel boots and flats. They do have heels as well, some of which are great for the office and some would be good for a night out.

Cinders is your typical women’s shoe store. As well as shoes they carry a range of handbags and other accessories so you can coordinate your outfits. At the moment there’s a 70% off sale at the Wicklow St branch, but that’s hardly surprising, considering half the world’s having 70% off sales at the moment. Cinders stocks footwear by Tommy Hilfiger, K & S, Repo and Rapisardi, among other brands.
