It might be my Sideshow Bob proportioned hoofers. Or it could be a side effect of working in an office where trainers are a definite no-no. Anyway, Size? is my sort of place. There’s always a hidden gem or two in their selection, and usually a few extortionately priced pairs that you end up drooling over. The staff are pretty good too, even though they all looked like they were in the middle of the mother of all hangovers every time I’ve been there.

Mhmmmmm… Siiiiizzzzzeeee. Love Size, no doubt about it. Staff are cool, relaxed but not lazy or anything. Great selection(for Dublin at least). And then when those post crimbo sales come up, epic. Went in here before, got myself some sweet Adidas Superstars. Then came in again for the sales few months later. Unfortunately they didn’t have my size in what I wanted(it was jammed too so what can ya do). But then I saw the same Adidas I had got before and loved for half the price. So I thought screw it, and got em again. Bottom line, cool shop, cool staff, cool.

I agree with Mary here. Size? really should offer a better selection of sneakers for girls. I love my comfy bright coloured runners just as much as the next lad and always get bummed when my eye catches the most amazing pair in the window, only to find out that my small feet will never be able to enjoy them. So three stars for Size? for not having my size.

There is a massive trend right now to purchase brightly-colored, limited edition sneakers from Rebok, Adidas and the king of kings, Nike. The purchaser may or may not actually wear these shoes. He might, perhaps, keep dozens and dozens of pairs in their original boxes, creating a museum of expensive shoes that you can’t actually look at and enjoy… it’s kind of weird. Believe me, we had a guy living on our couch for 4 months who couldn’t afford his own rent, but he could spend a small fortune on his sneaker collection. Priorities! Anyway, some people think the colorful sneaker look is stupid, but I think it’s fun. It’s an interesting way for guys to jazz up their otherwise mostly boring wardrobes. Size is THE place to go in Dublin to find these kind of special shoes, and they have loads of them. When I went, the store was jammed with hip-looking kids, quite a few trying too hard but that’s ok, the poor dears. Size? also carries a wide range of «normal» shoes, but they’re all pretty cool also. They sell some nice graphic tees and hoodies too. Major plus for having an awesome soundtrack when we stopped in. My only complaint is that they need to carry more girls shoes/sizes! I mean, if I want to wear neon shoes, I should be able to do so just as easily as my boyfriend.

I’m a damn big fan of stupidly flashy shoes. I have size thirteen feet, so if I’m gonna but something that looks like a kayak on my foot, it better be covered in blindingly bright colours, or gold leather, or hell, leopard print. This is what size? specialize in. Reebok classics, Nike Air Max, Adidas hi-tops, all can be found in here. I’ve often found that size? have speciality shoes that wouldn’t be found in other Dublin shoe shops, as well as a decent range of cool hoodies and t-shirts. Perhaps a little pricey for trainers, but if you’re in the money and have a burning desire to look like Kanye West crossed with Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2, pop in.

Size is where you go if you want some funky lookin’ trainers. Or ‘kicks’ as I believe kids are calling them these days. They have a great range of really trendy shoes. My boyfriend was lucky enough to have a pair or super-cool runners bought for him here recently, and whoever bought them for him did an AMAZING job of picking them out for him. He loved them and was ever so impressed. God, the girl who got them for him must be the nicest/kindest/loveliest person on the face of the planet!

This one’s for all the cool teenagers out there. Skatey shoes, huge earphones, zip up Adidas jackets. If you are a 15-year-old male then this place is probably your idea of heaven, and your Christmas list probably contains many of the items in this store. Stocks Converse, Nike, Fred Perry and Adidas trainers among others.
