Tetsu is by far my favorite ramen place in HK. You order your Tsukemen using the order form, where you will choose the amount of noodles, temperature of the broth, spiciness and etc. The cool thing about Tetsu is that you are paying the same price if you ask for extra noodles! WHAT!!! I ordered the regular sized, warm broth Tsukemen, with an extra order of pork, bamboo shoot and egg. I highly recommend ordering the warm broth, where the noodles are placed in a bowl of hot and lightly flavored broth. Midway eating your noodles, your broth will most lightly get cold. This is where the fun begins! You can request them to place a piece of hot stone in your broth. This will instantly heat up your broth so it’s warm again(it’s not going to be sizzling hot tho). It’s definitely a fun experience eating at Tetsu. However, there’s always a long line to get in there, and the restaurant isn’t very spacious. Like most popular ramen place in HK, you probably have to bounce by the time you finish your ramen.

I can’t believe no one posted about this restaurant on Unilocal yet. Tsukemen Tetsu is one of the latest transplant from Japan specializes in tsukemen. I am generally not a big fan of ramen but I do enjoy tsukemen. The broth is thick but a bit cold to dip my noodles in.(Should try the atsumori next time). There are also very few slices of cha siu and bamboo shoots. I did add an onsen egg, which was yummy. The noodles is thick and chewy, which I like(i ordered it extra hard). The fun part was the stone, which you add to you broth after you finish your noodles to hit it up. I didnt get overly thirsty after drinking the soup so I take it as a good sign — the restaurant went easy on the MSG. Again, go early or there will be a long line. Just like every new restaurant in Hong Kong.
