This is the CWB branch of an old established Shanghainese restaurant.(The original one is in North Point?) The food is good and authentic. A few memorable dishes. The sea cucumber and fish lips were excellent. The sea cucumber was thick, succulent and flavourful. This is one of the best I have had recently in Hong Kong. The braise pig knuckle was good, but in line other top Shanghainese restaurants in HK. The crispy chicken was also excellent, with the skin crispy but the flesh tender and juicy. The pot stickers were also outstanding, one of the best in Hong Kong. Sesame dumpling, a common Shanghainese dessert, was also surprising good.

I am surprised there is only one review here. This is awesome. 1000% authentic. Haven’t had drunken chicken this good for a long time! The place has been here for over 3 decades. Three thumbs way up!

Ladies & Gents, may I introduce u to «Snow Garden» where I had my most memorable fine dining experience while I was hanging out in HK being a tourist. Snow Garden offers authentic Shanghai cuisine and was even listed in Michelin’s Bib Gourmand 2014&2015. This label indicates that the restaurant offers good food at moderate prices. Still, don’t expect a budget eatery but relatively upscale prices for quality food(price compared with local restaurants). A Chinese tea charge of 15 hk dollar /person(1.8 €) will also be added to ur final bill. Before«Snow Garden», my knowledge of the Shanghai cuisine was nearly non-existent but love was in the air after the first bite! Was is the crispy eel or the crispy rice that won my heart? Gosh, I sampled so many dishes and they all pleased my taste buds. Surprisingly the restaurant was quite empty on the night we arrived. Walk-ins will definitely be warmly welcomed. Maybe the price tag is a little bit too scary for some locals? Of course I bookmarked«Snow Garden» and ooh yeah, I just entered in a love affair with Shanghai food!
