For the salmon sashimi, this place is an asbsolute 5. For the rest of the sashimi we had, maybe more of a 3. The salmon was that good though that if I am in that area again, I would absolutely come back. As other review indicates, the place is tiny. The other review indicated 12 seats, but they must have gone through a renovation, because it now seats 13. You are shoulder to shoulder with your other diners, so walk softly and carry a small handbag on your visit! But although tiny and us having to wait about 10 – 15 minutes for a table, we are glad we went. Staff was nice and guys making it in back seemed like team players happy to be there. We did not have any of their bowls, which they seem to be popular for. We stuck with only sashimi and one soft shell crab roll. The salmon sashimi is that good. Good cut, fresh, fatty, melts on your tongue. It was so good, we got a second order. All other sashimi items were just OK. Tuna seemed fishy and not great quality. The price though was more than reasonable and the staff seemed happy to have us. Despite being packed in, a little bit of a wait and really only absolutely loving the salmon sashimi, we would still return. We do not live in that area, but if we find ourselves in that area again, we would absolutley go back. Go for yourself… have a bowl… or better yet savor the salmon and judge for yourself.

Place rating: 4 Tustin, CA
A local joint hidden in the back corner of the streets. Limited seating, 12 people inside and maybe 4 outside. Run by only a few but some of the sweetest people that take pride in what they make. Everything is incredibly affordable and a serious bang for your buck. Big highlights –Unagi Bowl: The eel here is the highlight. Rich, not to oily, not to err… eely, but just the proper amount of butter like fat paired nicely with only a light sweet glaze. To those that love unagi, this is for you. It’s what I get every time. –Sashimi(Salmon): Big, fatty, and just plain good. Sushi snobs, don’t bring an attitude here. It’s not high end grade it’s just yummy and with a price no one should even complain about. Must stop during the weekday lunch specials. BTW it’s BYOB; D
