Very decent dishes, and it deserves a solid 4 stars. But some oddity made the experience didn’t feel perfect. First of all, it’s bit of a shame that they are renewing the liquor license so we didn’t have a chance to try their cocktails. They were kind enough to tell us that we could buy drinks from downstairs and there wouldn’t be any charge, but if they had had told us when I made the reservations, we could have planned our visit better. The layout of the restaurant is a bit off. We were seated quite comfortably, between slightly too close to the tables next to us, but the L-shape layout seemed to be counter-intuitive. Hey I could be wrong, but you’d know when you are here. Back to the food. They were all amazing. Notably the duck confit abalone, crab meat buns, caviar cornet duet, and urchins and beef tartar. The presentation of the urchins and beef tartar was the best. Everything was so elegantly placed on a tray, and you can make your own variations of wraps. And don’t forget about the«sample» they pre-made for you — of course you can eat that one too! Now all of the dishes have great layers of tastes, despite their relatively small portion. But none of the raw materials struck me with a «woah» factor, really. It seems that the A+ grade chef is spending time to make these dishes with B+ grade ingredients. Hey, B+ is still VERY decent, but it just didn’t seem spectacular. I like concept of updating their menu at certain period of time, so that it gives us more reason to come back.

Although a little hard to find the restaurant was really nice. Food can be described as Japanese/European fusion. Definitely recommend the«make your own wrap». There was a good selection of drinks. Service was good but could have been better.

I live in sf and la and have been to a lot of fusion restaurants. But none even come close to this. Master chef Justin is a magician in the kitchen. Highly recommended!

Had the pleasure of trying out naked for the first time about two days ago. I must say that a I was a bit disappointed with my experience here. After reading from All the hype online and from friends I expected high results. Especially because the chef started out locofama which is one of my favourites! We chose a sake from a one page sake list. I also wanted to see if there was wine(sometimes same gives me a headache). There was one bottle of wine available. So wine list was very limited. I’ll give them a 2 star for that. The food. I understand the whole concept of naked, being raw, minimally cooked/healthy. It would have been more impressive if it tasted better tho whilst being healthy. The salad was what it was it tasted raw. I think the only dressing was mayonnaise with a little ponzu. It had beets, quinoa, seaweed and tomatoes with some sporadic lettuce. Not hugely tasty but I ate it for health benefits that I hoped I would be getting. The menu was cleverly named into sections that played with words. The appetisers were names«aphrodisiacs» and they had a list of oysters and oyster shooters. We ordered a limchee oyster shooter. Probably one of the poorer oyster shooter I’ve had. The sake was too overwhelming. The oyster wasn’t great. The qual egg and the kimchee juice was just not a good mix the whole thing was quite pungent. There were some small Plates they named as Foreplay. I appreciated the humor. We had some iberico ham and toro– quite salty. Uni pasta probably the best dish there. Overall it’s a fresh, fusion Japanese raw foods concept. The staff made the whole experience a bit better which is why I give this restaurant a two star.

I came to this restaurant for the first time earlier this week. I was pleasantly surprised with the dishes they served here. When we first got here, we walked up the stairs to the main entrance of the restaurant. When we got up, there was an art gallery to the left and the restaurant was on the right. As you walk in, you’ll notice that the whole venue is in black, which gives it a chic feeling. They have an open kitchen, not too many seats, although quite spacious. We laughed as we went through the menu, the dishes were categorised under funny names, like«aphrodisiac», «let’s get it on», «foreplay», «cuddles», etc. I appreciate their sense of humour and fun they took with the menus. We ordered oyster shots, a tequila and a kimchi one. They were strong! I think they were straight shots! At least the tequila was, my friend had that, and i had the other. Mine was really yummy! We ordered a few other dishes, tuna tar tar, grilled steak and sushi. They were all very creatively put together dishes, fusion, and nice balanced texture with all the dishes. What I really want to commend is the service. The restaurant manager was extremely caring. Throughout the whole dinner, he was extremely attentive, and was very accommodating. He noticed we were slowing down as we were getting more and more full, and he asked if we wanted to cancel the pasta. Most restaurants would just keep serving, but he was being very nice and cancelled it for us. I am excited to try all the other dishes, definitely sure that i will be back soon.
