Conveniently placed at the end(or beginning!) of the Family Trail on Lamma Island, LoSo Kitchen is an ideal place to stop for a refreshment after a hardy walk from Yung Shue Wan. It bills itself as a «unique chill out spot, with super friendly staff with a passion for life and art», and I suppose this is pretty accurate. The staff are very friendly, and pretty quick to serve, despite it being fairly busy. It is indeed a good place to hang out, and enjoy the view over Sok Kwu Wan harbour. The sunset is particularly nice, as it disappears over the hills of Lamma. They have somewhat cornered the Western market here, as they are refreshingly probably one of the only non-local seafood restaurants down the strip. As such, the bar stocks an impressive range of beers and ciders, many of which are imported from the UK. Bizarrely they did run out out of Tsing Tao when we were there, and had to quickly run to the shop to get more. They also serve a range of home-style meals(i.e. lots of fried beige foods), all of which are well presented and tasty, but not so much in demand as people tend to be here for the local seafood restaurants. My biggest grievance is the abundance for dogs on the premises. The owners appear to own four dogs that they let roam around the bar. I don’t have an objection to dogs dogs per se, I just don’t like to see them in a food area.
