Was recommended to eat seafood on Lamma Island and Lamma Hilton was one of the restaurants on my list. My family and I docked at Yang Shue Wan so it took us almost 3 – 4 hours to get to Sok Kwu Wan which is on the other side of the island. Tired and all we were glad to see that Lamma Hilton was the first restaurant closest to the end of the hiking trail. We were seated right next to the water during the sunset so it was really beautiful. Almost like a scene of out national geographics. Took some pretty pictures here. We opted for the 4 persons menu which consisted of: two lobsters, one crab, fish, shrimp, clams, fried rice, and tea. Everything came from the live seafood tanks-well apart from the fried rice and tea. We added 5 mantis shrimps since we all wanted to try it. The crab was cooked with salted egg yolk and it was freaking amazing. I was literally picking the crumbs off the plate. The lobster was ok– cooked with cheese and not really what I would order but my family enjoyed it. The shrimp was boiled plain-very fresh. The mantis shrimp was interesting, looked like a insect but surprisingly really good. Be careful of the shell because it is quite sharp. By the end of the meal, we were pretty satisfied. My mom said it was probably the best meal of the trip. When we got up to leave, we saw that they had mini abalone for about $ 4 a piece… so our fatasses decided to sit back down and ordered once each. Was soooooo good. Total we spent about $ 150 for dinner. Not too bad for fresh seafood. Damn I think we could have stayed there all day eating seafood. Would most definitely come back.
