Little Beer Room

I don’t usually give five stars, and I was about to give this place four. But then I thought about it and I realized, there wasn’t a single thing that could have been done better. So five stars it is.
Really excellent service. Manager came over to double check our order because we have to food allergies (me to lactose, my dining companion to certain nuts), and so she wanted to chat and make sure that the things that we chose were going to accommodate us and were what we wanted. Very friendly.
We tried the Gnocchi and the «Not Your McFrites» with yellow and purple market sweet potato. Both were delicious, and presented artfully. Also sampled a saison and devoured a delightful Omnipollo (sp?) Rocky Road or Mudpie flavoured beer. So. Good.
So I will be back. Also, was it just me or was that server cute?

This place is absolutely fantastic! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They treat you as if you are long time friends. We sat at the bar and struck up a conversation with the bartender about beer. He kept recommending different beers for us to try, totally changing my mind about sours. We weren’t originally planning on eating but ended up getting the not mcfries. The food was just as fantastic as the beer. Hopefully we’ll be able to make it back before we leave.

This review is based on the beer and service only, didn’t try the food so can’t comment.
They have a fantastic craft beer program here, I mean absolutely fantastic. Being from Southern California I am pretty spoiled with the quality and quantity of craft beer that I have access to, and I was so happy with the stuff they had on tap. Great selection of beers from Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, the US, and many more. I wound up getting a couple of the better beers that I have had.
What really sets this place apart was the service and knowledge of the bartender. I sat up at the bar with my wife and struck up a conversation with the bartender about the beer they had and other beers that he had tried. After chatting for a bit the chef joined in and also had a serious knowledge of craft beer. It’s great to go somewhere that has employees who know craft beer and share a love for it.

Great new addition to the Soho area. Carefully selected craft beers and artistically prepared small plates in a contemporary setting with an extremely passionate and accommodating staff. Highly recommended!
