Beef Phở(hk$ 48) was just mediocre and not worth a trek to Jordan if you don’t live in the area. The broth was dark and oily and the noodles were a bit mushy for my liking. The beef was solid and thinly sliced and not fatty. I was surprised to see that no additional fixings were included with your bowl of Phở like bean sprouts, basil, mint, limes, and hoisin sauce. I had to ask for chili sauce which garnered a small scoff from the waitress. These add-ons are standard for any bowl of Phở in Vietnam! If this establishment does not want to make it a standard of pairing the fixings with the Phở, then at least offer it on the menu for a small additional fee. I also ordered the Banh Cuon(hk$ 28)(steamed rice roll with minced pork and veggies) as an appetizer and it was good. It comes out unusually as two squares with dried onion flakes on top, but the taste and texture were good. There is a table side jug of Nuoc Mam(mixed fish sauce) for you to add as much as you want to your dish. Interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and modern. The staff does seem to rush you a bit, but probably because they seem busy all the time. I would only come back try more of the appetizers. I will be looking for another establisment for Phở.

Excellent Vietnamese Chinese food. I never had Vietnamese food like this in NYC. Their tenderloin red(tomatoes) fried rices as delicious and curry chicken was awesome. We finished all our food. The service was excellent.

After some afternoon tea filled with too much wine, I had major cravings for some Vietnamese food… phở, to be specific. Restaurant is on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. The soup base was definitely better than my decently low expectations, and the meat quality was good. Noodles were flat rather than authentic phở noodles, but not too far from the original. Overall, a good spot in HK to get some of that phở craving you might have from a long night of drinking…

First of all, their food is great!!! Phở, rice fishes, egg rolls, curry and sugar cane shrimp. However, for the area they are at, you would expect a bit cheaper. The giant sugar cane fried shrimp costed $ 45 each. Phở is the same price but portion is small. For 2 of you, you can easily spent over 300 including drinks. However, they are as authentic as you can get compare to those overpriced central Vietnamese restaurant. It’s only 2 stops away from Hong Kong station so why not.

Best place on Kowloon side to get authentic and good quality Vietnamese food for a decent price. The place is clean and service is good. You can find the most common Vietnamese dishes in their extensive menu. Its a long walk from Austin MTR station so its not very convenient by H.K. standard to get here especially during the summer when its hot and humid. But if you crave for beef Phở, this is the place to go.

Food was nothing to write home about but it wasn’t bad. Places was spacious and clean which is probably why they charge more than the food is worth Staff was friendly but still felt rushed out.

Lo Chiu has to be one of my favourite Vietnamese outlet in town. This particular restaurant in Jordan is a newer outlet compared to the original one on Hillwood Road; though it is nice to report that the quality in their soup noodles has not changed one bit. being a newer place this shop is cleaner than the old place was but the whole atmosphere remains the same in that it is somewhere with no pretense and in that the price reflects it. the menu is extensive in offering the usual beef soup noodles and some other Vietnamese favourites; for dinner you may also like to order prawns which is a dish that must be tried as it is HUGE. I prefer this place to be a lunch location, as a beef soup noodle, spring rolls(Viet style) and a drink for around 50 – 60HKD should be considered a bargain nowadays. Though they don’t serve it the fancy way(soup is in the bowl with everything thrown in by the time it comes to you), the soup base is still unbeatable. Being a Vietnamese restaurant it also has some«Indochine» French style offerings too, such as the curry crab served with baguettes. I have tried this and the taste I could still remember now. Yum. Now some may say for the food and setting this place is pricey– and yes, I would agree to some degree that you could get cheaper Vietnamese food elsewhere. However, for something with this degree of originality and the taste; I’m prepared to fork out more for it. Besides, I can name a few more places that charges way more with lesser quality than this.
