Members only dining club. Tonight we had SO ZEET regional cuisine. Just too terribly salty for me. Majority of dishes were too salty.
XLB tasted quite good, wu black chicken ok.
Impeccable service in room 302. 2 big birthday cakes as well!

This restaurant is located inside the Manning Building in Central.
You have to be a native of Shanghai, Kiangsu (Suchou) or Chekiang in order to get membership to get in.
I am not a member but my relatives are and so is my friend, it is easy to get in if you know people that are Shanghainese.
We had a great meal with the following:
Smoke Eggs — similar looking to the Japanese eggs you eat at the Ramen places, but this is a more intense flavor.
Tofu and Chopped Chinese Spinach Cold Appie, mixed with sesame oil, chopped garlic and soy, very tasty.
Smoke Fish with nice sweet vinegar coating
Shredded Chicken tossed with Sesame and Sriracha on Cold Cellophane Rice Noodle — Intense heat with cool cucumbers, so good.
Chicken with Duck Yolk Coating — Decadent and very intense yolk flavor, if you love yolks, this is the dish for you.
Sweet and Sour Pork — always good, no matter where you are
Deep Fried Fish with Seaweed — Shanghainese special seaweed mixed in the batter and freshly deep fried, crispy shell with nice soft firm fish inside
Sesame Green Onion Pancake — Smells incredible and super light and crispy.
Duck — Stewed with Anise, aromatic herbs, and green onions, aromatic in a dark sauce, the meat just melt in your mouth.
Steam Veggie Meat Bun — full of veggie and meat stuffing, the bun is so soft, if we weren’t so full, I could have another one or two.
Egg White Fried Dessert with Red Bean Filling
The service is great, the food is incredible.
Highly recommend a visit just for the smoke eggs and the steam buns!
