Decided to make the trek here on recommendation from a foodie friend. Staying in Kowloon, we had to take multiple metro lines and then walk quite a bit (getting lost in between) before finally finding this place.
Had their famous b仔凉粉 — the fruits were fresh and the grass jelly and aloe and coconut jellies were refreshing (I also enjoyed the chewy texture) and paired well with the condensed milk. The portion was massive and we had to take more than half to go. We also got the famous durian dessert to go.
1 star taken for service, but it is Asia after all!

If you’re unfamiliar with the local scene, «Gai Gay» is the local hype for a dessert they serve exclusively and that is the famous B Jai Leung Fun, which translate to «Little B’s Grass Jelly». I believe I visited them at least once in each of my past visits to Hong Kong. Ambience was like the average street dessert and noodle shop with roof over your head, and their tables turn over quickly due to being a dessert joint. Sometime I saw lines outside at night during peak dessert hours.
I had the Little B Grass Jelly multiple times, it was definitely not easy for even 2 people like they recommended, if it was just for dessert you will probably need 4 people to comfortably finish it. They piled a bunch of scooped out fruits (whichever ones are in season) like a fruit mountain on top of a bowl of grass jelly with evaporated milk. Super awesome dessert if you are into fruits.
This last visit, we did not get the supersize grass jelly, just got some Mango Grass Jelly and Longan Tapioca. I got the evaporated milk on the side. Both were pretty good. They also have curry fish ball and street rice rolls available here. The fish ball was just ok, not as good as some that I had in Mong Kok. Rice roll was decent with spicy and sweet sauce. It was weird why they plated the two together since the two flavors did not mix very well.
This place would have been a great dessert place if the prices were not adjusted higher accordingly to the hype for their one famous dish. Everything else was on par with the local dessert joint. Service was provided by the same average Hong Kong staff that yell at you taking your time, must be a highly stressful place to work.
