Established in 2007.
With a passion for developing unique and inspiring properties, Philip Morais launched CHI Residences in 2007. His vision was to create a luxury home away from home for chic and savvy travellers. Applying over three decades of experience in the hospitality and property development industries, he sought to take serviced accommodation to a new level, providing all the luxury and service of a five-star hotel with inspired design and personal touches that provide CHI’s guests with their own unique urban retreat.

Business Owner
After growing up in Hong Kong, Pilar moved to Los Angeles to study Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Finance at the renowned Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Upon graduation, she moved to Sydney, Australia to take a leading role in a boutique finance company, focusing on hospitality.
In 2007, Pilar returned home to Hong Kong to work with her father at CHI Residences. In a short time, she has helped build the family-run company Within the first few years, CHI Residences has grown to become one of Hong Kong’s leading boutique serviced apartment brands, including the current five boutique residences, and manages a headcount of 80 dedicated staff. Pilar plays a vital role in acquiring new developments and investments, adding to the growing portfolio. With a natural flair, Pilar continues her father’s dedication to the hospitality industry in the city.
