Not really much of a destination by itself, but the quality is quite reliable and there is almost always seating for lunch or dinner. The place is a no-frills canteen concept, where you you pay a set price depending on your selection of 3 or 4 dishes, from a selection of hot and cold dishes. Then they pair it with rice(white or brown rice) and a soup and you have a meal. They are decent quality dishes but the portions are a bit small for grown men. They have occasional dessert deals you can add on to your set meal. Nice place for a tea or I guess girls who don’t eat a lot. Also good if you are by yourself and need a quick meal. I enjoy going at night for overtime dinner if I am trying to avoid a heavy meal. An economical choice where you can walk away paying for dinner in the low hundreds(HKD)

This was one of my favorite lunch spots when I worked in the area – great options with enough variety to keep me interested if I were to visit several times in one week. You can get three– or four-option sets, choosing from small hot(i.e. meats) and cold(i.e. salads) dishes. It can get pretty busy during main dining periods, but once you’re allocated a seat(servers will place a ‘reserved’ placard on the table while you line up to get your food), everything moves pretty quickly. The space is good for small groups or solo diners, but you can also get your meal to-go if you don’t have much time to sit down and eat.

Great option for a light(and healthy) supper in CWB. Everything is so delicious. Good for a quick solo meal.

While this concept is not new to me, its quite rare for Hong Kong. You go in and make your order at the counter, and carry your meal on a tray while someone will show you your seat. The meal concept is simple, you can choose either the hot meal or the cold meal. With the hot meal, it’s only one choice(the special); with the cold meal, you can either choose the 4-choice option or the 3-choice option. I went for the cold meal option. They have a counter window with various salads, pastas, veg, and meats. The portions are small, but it comes with your choice of white or mix-grain rice, and a drink — very nicely presented. It’s not really a full meal, but it’s perfect if you’re not that hungry, and the taste of each selection is quite exquisitely crafted for you to get a good sample of each. The place was actually quite busy on a Friday evening, and we didn’t get to sit/hang around for as long as we like. I definitely recommend checking this place out! I surely will for some of their afternoon/tea stuff.
