I got this feeling, meow meow meow, It goes electric, when Hei Hei the Scottish fold cat turns around; All through Cat Café, all through Hong Kong, We’re jumping up, no ceiling, when we in our box. And under the lights, where cats go Nowhere to hide when I’m getting you close; When LL the American short hair moves, meow, you already know, So just meow, just meow, just meow; Cat paw cookie I eat, but Ding Ding the local cat yawn, yawn, yawn; Feeling soft, fluff, sitting on your laps. So just meow, meow, meow, come on, Cat latte I should drink, But you fluff, fluff, fluff, And ain’t nobody blinking, so keep meowing.

This was close by the Apple Store/Forever 21 and you can see the store when you’re in Muji. PROS: Food/drinks were actually not bad. Green tea coffee was delicious and the pizza, although a bit on the small size, was not bad. CONS: Unfortunately there’s a few. 1. Don’t expect to see a lot of cats. I think I only saw 5 or 6. 2. Possible time limitation due to limited seating (Honestly I don’t mind these first two points but THENEXTONE I had a huge problem with) 3. There are no regulations with children and the cats. Therefore the cats were always followed by children who don’t know how to handle cats and I felt so bad for the cats. The cats were being a bit avoidant and I can see why…

So I’ve never been to a cat café so needed to try it out. You imagine cats walking around and letting you pet them, but they are just sleeping the whole time. LOL. Which is not the café’s fault of course. They have a good variety of drinks and some food, but the food is just okay. You obviously come here to enjoy the cats though. It’s a clean place and my husband who’s allergic to cats, did not sneeze really. You need to sign up for a «membership» which is free and you get a cute membership card.

Really cute café that a friend brought me too. We didn’t actually have anything to eat so cannot comment on the food(although the cake themed desserts looked amazing!). The iced hazelnut chocolate milk was delicious and spending time with some beautiful cats was the best part. They have some great artwork on the walls and they sell a few cat related articles as well. You can even buy postcards there, fill them out with stamps and send them.

Like most animal cafes the food is subpar. Besides that fact, the cats here are sooooooo adorable! They will come up to you and let you pet them, when they don’t want to be bothered they’ll jump behind the food counter and sit there and taunt you with their cuteness. We tried the salmon angel hair pasta, pot pie, sausage, latte(with cute kitty art). Like I mentioned before food is subpar, don’t have high expectations.

This is honestly an adorable place! It is difficult finding it for the first time, because it’s in an actual apartment building and there aren’t any signs anywhere. However, once you’re inside, the atmosphere is great. It’s a good place to sit down and read, study, chill with friends, and of course play with cats. The staff is polite and not overwhelming, they don’t rush you to order or to leave. The cats here don’t seem too friendly, or interested in humans, but they’re okay with you touching them. There are a couple of booths by the window and also regular tables. The food is pretty good, I had a crème brûlée and a drink. I would definitely come back again for the chill environment and cute cats.

The food was so average. Like… disappointingly so. But where else would I be able to order a latte, cookies, ice cream, bread, toast, and everything else you can imagine to be edible THAT’S DECORATEDTOLOOKLIKECUTELITTLEKITTIES?! I HADTOGO… FORINSTAGRAM!!! The cats are cute. They only get all cozied up with you if you’re sitting on the couch table area. A lot of them kept smelling my boots because I probably stepped in some dog poop or something. The location itself can be quite tricky to find. Its in a random building, and I kind of felt like I was going to someone’s sketchy apartment. The service is quite slow, but you can walk around and take pictas of the kitty cats. Seems like a nice place to chill.

I love cats. Love them to death. And when I’m visiting HK for months back to back, I can’t be with my cats back home in America. I came here to release my cat related stress. I like the concept, I love the cats. Food is slightly pricey, but hey, I’m sure they are using the money to maintenance the cats. A little hard to find the first time. Elevator we took was super creepy. But worth a visit if you’re not highly allergic to cats :)

For those of you that are allergic to cats read no further! A friend that visited my place once recommended the Cat Café to me. I have two cats, which I am very much in love with, one fat and black the other one fatter and not black. It may have been my obvious love for these cats that caused my friend to tell me of this little café nestled on the 3rd floor in a random building in Causeway Bay. The Cat Café idea, I believe, started in Japan. Why sit and drink coffee when you can sit and drink coffee surrounded by cuddly bundles of joy? I’m thinking that was their initial pitch. Before entering I was told to read the list of rules on how to treat the cats. The rules made sense, and were in line in how I hope others would treat me. Do not wake a sleeping cat(Brad), do not disturb a cat(Brad) while it is eating, if a cat(Brad) is sitting on a chair, you may not sit there. It may sound as if the rules take away all the fun of being in a cat café but that is not the case. There must have been close to ten cats lazing around the place, half sleeping, a few eating, the rest wandering around the place, ignorant of the biped primates taking photos of them. I was fortunate enough to have one such cat lounge within stroking distance of my table. It is a unique experience to sit in the Cat Café, and one I’d recommend for others to try — if only to witness the strangeness of it all. In all honesty I have not been back since. The drinks menu was above average but let’s just say people don’t go there for the food! It didn’t taste bad, however, a tad bit overpriced and the portions small. Be sure to arrive before the busy hour of lunch or dinner as it was constantly full during my visit.

I’m more of a dog person than a cat person, I’ll admit. Although I’ve not owned either, I just find that dogs are easier to interact and play with — maybe it’s just me, but some cats have a sort of have a look that makes me think they’re going to scratch my insides out if I touch them. I don’t hate cats though, and since I’ve never been to the Cat Café, I was nonetheless excited when one of my friends brought it up. We came at around 3 in the afternoon, and there were only two tables of customers. I guess it’s because it’s the middle of the day — I assume that it’s more crowded at around 12 or 1pm. The café is adorned with cat decorations like small statues and paintings. When we first stepped into the café, we couldn’t see any cats. I don’t know if it was the time of day, but the cats weren’t very active or friendly when we were there and most of them were just lying on the floor. I was overall disappointed with both the service provided and the food. We were told that there was a minimum spending, and this was kind of a problem between us because we were still full from lunch and just intended on getting a drink. But we had no choice — we were here anyway — so we looked through the menu. A lot of the food is cat-themed, which was pretty cute! When we decided what to order, it was so hard to get the waiters’ attention. In the end, I simply walked up to one of them, took a menu with me and told them that I’m at this table and we would like to order this. The waiter didn’t even apologize for not coming to my table — it was like she expected me to come over! We ordered a plate of cookies and a plate of toast that came with peanut butter and condensed milk for us to dip. Like I said, we really weren’t hungry. The cookies were a little tasteless except for the chocolate frosting on top, and the toast was average. Since it’s a themed café I wasn’t expecting much of the food, but the service really was abysmal. I was kind of bummed that the cats weren’t more active. I think it’s because we came at around 3 — they’re probably used to resting at this time as there are less customers. My advice? If you’re planning to come here, avoid coming in the middle of the day!
