I usually eat here as it is just down the street from my place of residence. The fish and chips is mostly spot on. However I need to let tonights experience be known. I’m usually not the type to write a bad review but my experience tonight was somewhat annoying. I ordered my food, a basic fish and chips and added a side of Mac and cheese. I waited at least 20minutes for what should be fast food and was handed my order. Lucky I don’t live far but by the time I got home I noticed the order of Mac and cheese was missing. Giving the shop the benefit of the doubt I headed back to pick up my Mac and cheese. However I was told that the order was not put through and that it would take another 10minutes of waiting… By this time I was annoyed as I’ve sworn that I paid for both. The shop assistant blamed the new employee for the mistake and tried to resolve… But I had the food at home getting cold and I couldn’t wait another 10minutes for the side order… So not wanting to make a further scene I left it at that. The food is good but my annoyance at the missed order and the fact that I walked all the way back for nothing was annoying. I would have rated lower however the shop assistant tried his best to resolve the situation by offering free beer or a refund…

This place is nice and relaxing. Small venue but a good selection of beer, although only a few on tap. The food is good with the basic fish and chips, mac and cheese and po’boy, which goes well with a beer. The people here are nice and can give a good recommendation for beer. The perfect place for people watching and a chill weekend with the dog.

This place is small and easily missed, and that would be a shame. They have a solid beer list, good looking food, and really friendly staff. We stopped by and had a couple local Hong Kong Beers while walking through the neighborhood. Was a really fun place to take a break and do some serious people watching.

I really like this place. Using the power of Unilocal we added this to a craft beer pub crawl list that we did on our first night in HK and for me it was one of my favourite destinations out of all the pubs we visited. They do fish as well as beer. I did not try any, but the portions I saw going out looked amazing. Think UK Chippy style with an Asian twist but looked very very tasty. If I had more time in HK I would definitely head back for some. So why do I like this place so much. The décor was really modern and cool, the bar staff were super hipster but very friendly and they did great beer that I had never had before. Cool(but tiny) craft beer bar. If you like beer or fish this is the place you are looking for.

Nice place nice beer nice staff. Located in center of soho, cosy and clean. So many different choices of beer. Good for Happy hour and snacks after a stressful day They serves different beers, especially Hong Kong local beer if you a fan. The young master 1842 island imperial IPA Summer versions is the highlight. Apparently this is the only place you can get it. Staff are very helpful, presentable and knowledgable about the variety of beers. Ask them which beer they will talk you for the whole night

Walked past here with a few friends and found a few fish and chips shop with craft beer! So we decided to stop by for happy hour. The shop is pretty small with just two benches inside. We stood outside and the waitress was quick to come out to serve us. She did a pretty good job in explaining the beers that they have and asked what type of beer that each of us liked. There’s a wall listing of all the beers that they have going for $ 60-$ 90. For food, they have fish, chicken, shrimps, oysters with heaps of sauces to choose from. We tried the beer battered fish. Serving size was average but it was delicious. Will probably come back to try some other beers and fried foods.

I have to admit that when I first saw it opened, I was like«Oh not another wannabe craft beer place please?» Oh boy, I was wrong. First of all, if you don’t know about craft beer, it’s a great start here. Good choices and good variety. All available beers will be shown on the board, and(as you’d notice) it’s a rather small shop, so when beers run out they’d just take down some of the choices from the board. I employed my limited knowledge of craft beer and pretended to know my sh1t when I spotted Island 1842 Imperial IPA. That’s the thing, if you tried a craft beer and you heard about the story behind, you’d remember its name and its taste. This is a Young Master brew, and I knew it without the name YM on it. Good 8.0% ABV punch for whoever like hoppy and complex craft beer. The other two good things I didn’t expect were the good vibe and the amazing service. The whole time I didn’t even get it to the store(and I don’t mean it in a bad way). I enjoyed my time just standing outside of the shop and had fun. And the staff were great and friendly. Making recommendations to everyone and came back later to check if everyone likes their recommendations. Top notch. And I don’t have problem with that usually, it’s refreshing to see servers who speak both Chinese and English well in Soho. Also, when they claimed they were the only place that served Young Master’s one-off special Summer of 1842, I challenged them and asked if that even included the brewery itself. They actually went back and checked for me, that’s correct, even the brewery doesn’t serve it, and limited edition is exclusive to Beer & Fish as a favor owner of YM made to owner of Beer & Fish as they are friends! Great job to earn a 4 star from me instantly without me even trying their fish just yet!

Beer & Fish is one of my new faves. Fresh artisanal food, friendly service, reasonable prices and generous portions keep me coming back. As do the very addictive milkshakes. Beer & Fish does variations on the beer batter for their fish, oysters and shrimp. You can choose from original wit, chili amber or blackened stout. Choose your dipping sauce too(6 different kinds)! As for the milkshakes, I’ve tried almost every one and each is amazing. Faves though are the HK Sweet Tea and the boozy shakes including the apple crumble and brewer’s ovaltine.
