Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were attracted by the décor, it reminds me of the cute cafes in Paris(very adorable tiles). The reason I am giving them a 2 star is that the food was a huge disappointment. We ordered: French onion soup: ok, pretty typical Fries: taste like frozen fries(and it’s not the skinny frites) Salmon with spinach: over cooked salmon, also taste frozen.

I’ve been here twice and both times my beer tasted off. I was excited to see London Pride on tap but it tasted awful, so I’m guessing that they either haven’t cleaned the taps or people don’t order it very often.

Second time here, ok experience the first time. Today after 40 minutes we never received our French toast and bruschetta, the table next to us had the same issue and left. It was not busy. A party of two that arrived 15 minutes after us received their food first. We got up to leave and just pay for my café au lait, but to add insult to injury we were charged 113HKD($ 15USD) for a carafe of still water — more than 3x the cost of the coffee.

After four hours of shopping at PMQ we needed to get out of there and head somewhere else for a break. There are a few places where you can grab a coffee or tea without having to leave but as cool as it can be, we had just had enough of it for the day. Also, we didn’t want to walk more than strictly necessary. So here you go, a café just across the street, with a terrace outside and well, pretty empty. Actually, considering how busy it can get on weekends around this area, it was incredibly empty! Besides the three of us there were two couples inside. I was impressed by the huge open space and the cool decoration. We decided to sit at the end, to have a bit more privacy and picked a big table at a corner. The staff took a while to get our orders. It seemed like nobody was actually in charge of our table. The menu was a little confusing and we just ordered a tea. We chatted and chatted for like an hour, and one of my friends decided to order a burger, which came quickly and it looks(and apparently tasted) delicious. It’s supposed to be a French place but the food on the menu was anything like French. When she was done with it her and my sister headed to the little terrace outside for smoking and I stayed in, just chilling and thinking how much better they could do at this place! Nice décor, privileged location, okay food. Maybe a better management? I wouldn’t pick Libertine to eat, but for a tea break it’s alright.
