Our first time in Copenhagen! We were looking for some fresh seafood and this restaurant looked cozy and had great reviews, and it was great! Very fresh prawns, mussels, ceviche, shrimp, and more. A very cozy and happening atmosphere with ambiance created by subdued lighting, and a wall of wood pieces. The dessert was a rhubarb and strawberry ice cream with a Danish vanilla type of ice cream– just perfect to finish out the meal. The menu is small but each of of the items hold their own. It’s quite busy, so a reservation is a good idea. Service is on the slower side for that reason, but really friendly staff. Also had outdoor seating! Nice drinks too! t

Absolutely loved it. My girlfriend and I were looking for some great cuisine without blowing out our wallets. Copenhagen is notoriously expensive for US tourists as the dollar does not get much. We ordered the Fruit of the Sea tasting for two which featured various kinds of seafood from fried soft crab, to wild prawn, and many more items. Being from the Boston area we came into the restaurant with high seafood standards and walked out happy and satisfied. This place is a must stop for people trying to stay out of the $$$ or higher range but who want some delicious seafood.

This was my favorite meal during my 3 days in Copenhagen. Two local friends took me here and I loved it. Great fun vibe, good service and the food is divine. I loved every seafood item we ordered, and we ordered a lot! Fresh as well as fried oysters, softshell crab, scallops, and most amazingly, the langostines. The langostines were so flavorful and yummy. Happy happy camper. Great experience all around.

Amazing is the word that describes our visit at oysters & grill yesterday. Laid back approach but excellent taste and service! We started with 2 oysters each, followed by deep fried tiger prawns and scallops. For main we had beef tournedos and the sirloin. All in all it was among the most tasting meals we ever have had! A job very well done by the team at oysters and grill! We will be back!

Oh what a delight! A must try if you’re in Copenhagen and wanting to try the fruits of the Nordic sea.(There’s a dish called ‘fruits of the sea’- inside joke, haha I’m so funny). Firstly, a very interesting entry door. Kind of feels like you’re about to walk into a public toilet but oh! There’s a restaurant in there! For a Sunday night the place was quite busy but we were seated quickly. The tables were very close together so its quite a squeeze. Service was lovely, we were seated and orders taken promptly and the food was quick to come out. In addition to the fruits of the sea we also ordered a side of french fries. Everything was perfect. It was seasoned, cooked, and prepared perfectly. My absolute favorite was the cod ceviche– a must try! Also try the blue mussels and langoustine. It was not a completely filling meal so we ordered an additional 200gm of the blue mussels cooked in olive oil, garlic and parsley. Dessert was a beery cheesecake– good, but stock standard. Overall an amazing meal. I would happily eat this again and again. One thing to beware of– tax is not included in the price of the meal so I had a bit of a shock when an extra 25% was added to our bill. Still doesn’t put me off wanting to go back but it would have been nice to know at the start.

Second visit, less impressed. Not that the place has lost a lot in ambiance or service. Just that the food was very, very similar in choice, except the main appetizers, the large platter of shellfish, was this reduced to moules frites and deep-fried oysters, where last time, there was more of a selection. All in all, the place is still good, setting still nice and cozy(though the acoustics are terrible), and the food is quite good.

Recent Euro trip to Copenhagen with my friends, Oysters & Grill was recommended to us for a nice seafood meal. It did not disappoint at all! The seafood was fresh and very delicious! We had 2 dozen oysters, sweet & fresh. We had the stone crab, tiger shrimp, lobster, and mussels, and quite possibly another kind of shrimp. Worth the money, not over priced at all. It sells by wt and market rate. The service was great and love the hood! Reminds us of good old Williamsburg, artsy and cool in NY. Take a taxi, much faster and more convenient! Only Tip: make a reservation and have the Hotel peeps help you confirm! We couldn’t read the email in Danish and accidentally«canceled» our reservation. However luck was on our side, we had the bar seating, quite cute! Enjoy feasting!

This is a really great place — and the concept works for those grouped divided by sea and land or those just wanting surf and turf. the room and atmosphere is sort of cool and dark, slightly unexpected and more run-down(in the deliberate way) than I would have expected from a steak and seafood place — but it works for Nørrebro. there is a bit loud, but again not a big problem. I had the steak which was great. not the best I have had — and it wasnt butter to the knife. but good taste and plenty. there was no source only butter melting on the top. and call me old fashioned — but I want Bearnaise when i have a steak. I dont go out for this sort of thing often enough to want to experiment on this key component. I cant speak to the shellfish, but the consumers looked pleased and the plates full

We enjoyed our meal enough — best to order things one by one by the 100g off the menu. Got home from our visit to find out $ 150 bill charged at $ 220… sketch.

A very pleasant first seafood encounter in Copenhagen after wandering through the Asisstens Kierkegard on a sunny summer day. We snagged a small table with a short wait and no reservation; I think we got lucky. Once seated, the service was exceptional: sincere, friendly and helpful… just what food tourists crave abroad. We’d read the oysters were superb; they were. Even better were the razor clams: sautèed simply with parsley and olive oil. Dangerously delicious with an interesting texture — somewhere between a fried clam and an oyster mushroom. The calamari were corn-dog-awesome, batter-fried goodness. With a remoulade. A small order there is plenty. Tiger prawns were modest, but a safe bet; next time we’ll be more daring with the blue mussels or cockle. We didn’t order an entrée, but were stuffed to the gills on the three starters(our server amplified portions a bit). We were set to pass on dessert, when he sold us on rødgrød med fløde, which is more fun than saying than fünfundfünfzig, and tastes a helluva lot better.

Trying desperately to find just about something bad about this place but its just not happening. The waitressess are so sweet and funny and although our reservation was indoors, they managed to get us a table outdoors on their sparse outdoor seating area. We had loads of seafood, seafood platter for two, extra crayfishes, extra blue mussels, oysters, fried soft shelled crabs, scallops, the dorade(fish) and a rare entrecôte. The seafood was amazing, and especially the oysters. Without any doubt the best oysters I ever had. They served them with lemon and a vinegarsauce with red leek. Oh so good. I ordered extra! The meat was, as we ordered, rare and perfectly cooked. The fish plate was also amazing. We had such a pleasant dinner at Oysters and Grill. In the shade of this perfection was the waitresses mixup of our dishes so we had to remind them a few times but this was not enough to lower my rating of Oysters and Grill. I’m looking forward to my next visit here!

Being a fan of Cofocos chain of restaurants and sea food in general I had quite high expectations coming to this restaurant. It is a very cozy place with dim lighting and checkered table cloths. You instantly notice that the sound level is high though which makes it hard to have a conversation in here. To be honest the menu feels a bit confusing at first, offering a list with prices per 100g, so you almost have to ask for some assistance as to «what is a good amount to order». They help you out with your selection and basically you can choose your preference, if you like prawns more than mussels for example, they will try and focus on that. I don’t mind doing this and the waitress was friendly, but it still manages to make the process a bit more inconvenient and confusing(give me my seafood! ;)). There is a plate where the chef combines many different types of mussels, prawns etc, but it seems to contain quite some deep fried items, so we opted out. We received a plate of mixed seafood and a side dish of fries. The dish was a bit on the small side for two people but what bothered us the most I think was that it didn’t taste all that much, the fries where also bland and perhaps not something we would’ve otherwise preferred with this type of food. Yes, sea food is sea food and perhaps it’s just a matter of preference, but we would’ve loved a dash of garlic or maybe a choice of adding some chilli and less focus on the deep fried. So the 2⁄5 Unilocal rating«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» is unfortunately what we felt walking out of there.

I’m kind of on the fence with how I feel about this place. It’s trendy and cool and I like the vibe of the restaurant with their stacked-wood walls and mismatched tablecloths. The service was efficient and nice. The food was good, but the Havets Frugter selection was a bit too heavy on the mussels. I love mussels, but if you’re going to market a seafood platter, it needs to be more equitably distributed. The small dish of root veggies that came on the side was delicious. We also had a pitcher of sangria to share. Perfectly decent, and ok price. But probably one of the smallest pitchers I’ve ever seen. I would be interested to try their other menu items. Just wasn’t too impressed with the havets frugter selection.

I just love eating here — seafood and steak. What is not to like? It is a small place with good waiters, and the kitchen does know its stuff. Starters are seafood. Mostly different kinds of mussels. You can also get oysters ;-) Mains are steaks or fish with fries. They have small but good selection of wine.

Not impressed. Rude waitress. Undercooked scallops. Brought water in a glass carafe and then charged for it. Vegetable crudité and prawns were nothing special. Skip it.

One of Copenhagen’s two trendy fish-dedicated eateries(the other being Fiskebaren), Oysters & Grill has the popularity of Cofoco behind it, and does not disappoint. We ordered a variety of the daily fish offerings at 100g, both fried and grilled, and were satisfied with all of it, though the fried scallops were probably a little TOO deep fried for my taste(was really heavy and greasy — maybe would be better with a lighter beer batter or something). Would KILL for some crab cakes on this menu — maybe some day… Interestingly, the entrecôte, which is FAR from seafood, is the most raved about item on the menu(in fairness, it was delicious). The ambiance overall is really cozy — great place for a date, girls night, etc — lots of depth in the interior and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Thumbs up for sure.

Some wine and a delicious dessert! not expensive yet not cheap, completely filled with a glass of wine and dessert was around 300 dkk. Can’t wait to come back!
