If you exploring Providencia on foot and need a stop to rest and recharge, grab a lunch at Cafetto by the Park at Hotel Orly. It sits in a shade on side street, so you can catch a break from merciless Santiago sun midday.
It is a bit more expensive than norm, but still a good deal, considering the quality of the food and what included in price.
Started with glass of excellent wine (Did I mention that Chilean wines are by far the best?), hot fresh bread & herb butter.
There is choice of salad included in this meal — Caesar salad with juicy pieces of chicken was excellent!
Followed by choice of FULL entrée — seriously good salmon, cooked perfectly with pink middle on top of outstanding shrimp risotto.
Add a juice and huge (not kidding!) torta for dessert — this is pretty great!
As we were enjoying our lunch, street performers came around — free entertainment!
It was great meal, left refreshed and full.

Fuimos al Cafetto después del trabajo a comer algo antes de llegar a casa. Pedí una hamburguesa del chef y un chocolate caliente. Mi acompañante pidió un ceviche mixto, con ostiones, camarones y pescado. Nos atendieron súper amablemente pero los platos no estaban muy ricos.
Mi hamburguesa estaba ultra dura, era de carne de verdad pero no estaba condimentada y estaba como apelmazada. Además, el tomate tenía cáscara y tenía una salsa muy dulce en exceso. El ceviche se veía muy bonito pero no estaba muy sabroso. EL limón estaba bien pero el pescado estaba refome, era como mascar una bolsa. A pesar de la buena atención y el ambiente agradable, la experiencia total no fue muy buena.
