Tried multiple«specials» and loved each one(blue cheese and figs on one… so good!) I’m impressed by how fast they churn out the pizzas, and I’m happy to know they use local. The sauce isn’t the most flavourful but tons of interesting toppings that provide flavour. Their bacon is mega-good. If you’re not into extravagent pizzas they will make a plain cheese pizza for you, but don’t be afraid of the toppings!

Amazing pizza, fast service and a beautiful Window girl to boot. Didn’t know which food truck to go for so I picked the most impressive looking one of the bunch and was not dissapointed. The smell of fresh burning wood fire coupled with the delicious scent of a crust baking in the over was over powering. After giving my order of 3 personal sized pizzas to the beautiful Window attendant, I only had to wait about 5 minutes before one of the best pizzas I have ever had was complete. The only fault I could give them is that for a lunch meal expect to pay about 12 dollars which is a little more than I like to spend, but damn it was worth it. I will be back.

Hands down, the BESTPIZZA in the city! If there’s one food truck you have to try, it’s the Red Ember. This truck moves around but most often, you can find them on Broadway in the summer, across from the Legislative Building, between Kennedy and Memorial Blvd around 11 am to 1:30 pm M-F. Saturday’s they are at the St. Norbert Farmers Market. They also make it to some local events like Folk Fest. You can get updates on their location via their facebook page. The truck is pretty big and red so you can’t miss it and it houses a huge 500 degree oven that cooks the pizza in 1 minute. The pizzas are a pretty fair size — one person if you have a big appetite but definitely can be shared between 2 people for a lunch(you can always grab something else on Broadway if you’re still hungry). The pizzas are in the $ 12 range — there were about 6 different flavours with a special available too. Had the G.O.B — roasted garlic, red onion and maple bacon for $ 12 — sooo good!!! It’s truly a perfect pizza. The pizza is piping hot after it comes out of that oven and onto the disposable plate. The crust is absolute perfection — thin but not too thin and has the right amount of a doughy crust with a slight chew. The crust is also heated up in such high heat that there’s a perfect level of crispness and does not become soggy. There’s the perfect balance of sauce, toppings and crust. The sauce doesn’t overpower, the cheese is goey and melted without being overloaded on the pizza and the maple bacon and roasted garlic are very complementary. I will seriously be making weekly trips to this food truck for the entire summer. Service is friendly, fast and efficient. Despite about 20 people waiting around, I got my pizza in less than 10 minutes.
