We got a wireless plan for our stay in Canada and had no problems. I worked perfect for us. I don’t know what they are like long term but they worked great for the two weeks we needed them.

This Roger’s Wireless is in my neighbourhood, and I can usually tolerate the lazy attitudes and poor customer service, but after my recent experience, I’m at my last straw. My iPhone stopped reading my sim card. The sales rep wasn’t helpful in providing phone replacement options that didn’t involve paying out my contract($ 246), purchasing a new phone and contract. This Rogers Wireless better count their blessings for the fact I even bother to give them 1 star.

My family has been with Rogers since foreeevverr — if you’ve been with them for a few years you can call up customer service and ask them to get you cheaper plans which is pretty cool! This location has 3 members of staff max so sometimes there’s a queue on busy days. There are two young-ish, stylish Asian guys that are totally judgemental and can even be flat-out rude. They knew what they were doing but were very impolite, cold, and made me feel like really stupid and incompetent with technology. At the end of our transaction he told me that if I gave them a 5 on the customer service survey then he’d throw in a free case for my phone — not a chance! Their manager is just as knowledgeable but far more helpful and approachable, but if you’re not a small, slightly-naïve girl like me I’m sure you’ll have far less trouble with the guys from up there.

I would give it less than half a star if I could for service. The guy I went up to told me that there were only three(more expensive) plans that were«available» from Rogers which was a lie — I even asked directly if that was all the plans available and he said«yes». He also told me I had to pay up front $ 50 just to get a micro sim with a plan for a «new phone number activation». I never had a sim activation charge like that before and thought that was a little ridiculous. He also made it sound like all of this was standard so luckily I didn’t go with them because later I went to the Rogers store at City Square and they were nothing like this rip off store. Not only did they not charge a ridiculous fee(only charged a $ 10SIM card which is standard), they were very accommodating despite the long wait(was pretty busy). They helped me pick a plan that was best suited for my needs(I knew roughly what I was looking for anyways) and when I mentioned that the other store wanted to charge $ 50 for the exact same service, they said the Oakridge store shouldn’t of done that and that’s not what they are supposed to do. Ugh I strongly advise not going here for they are definitely money moochers and liars.

Always a busy store, hasn’t slowed down even when I was a Rogers customer before the jump to Fido 10 years ago. Now with my new Samsumg Note. and back to Rogers, was looking for a better case to protect my latest toy but being so new, they had the same case, and only 1 style to show so far. there’s a lineup here, with 3 ppl working feverishly still. Currently, it’s 25% off accessories sale…
