I admit that this is not the best Chinese Bakery around but for an area on Kingsway that is virtually an abandoned lifeless area but it is what it is. It’s a cash only establishment and the prices are cheap. It is not my go to bakery(I go to the Chinese Bakeries) on Victoria near my Weight Watchers) but I needed a sweet rice bun fix for under $ 2 so I settled. Customer service was neither here nor there but it wasn’t horrible. My nose is blocked, therefore, didn’t smell anything weird.

Things haven’t changed much lol, still the bad, unusual smell that one doesn’t expect from a bakery. Still can’t put a finger on it – not saying it smells like chlorine, but something distinct — if anyone can solve this, a pineapple bun on me ;) Has the usual selection, plus specialty loaves too. And it’s not exactly into décor either, nor would one expect to in this area. free parking in front except rush hour.

Located within a stretch of Kingsway that has many top notch ethnic eateries this bakery was a disappointment. The offerings were of the same variety you would find at many Chinese bakeries, but the quality just wasn’t there. In the same neighbourhood I’d just go a bit down Kingsway to Tung Hing and enjoy a similar(but broader) selection that is of much higher quality.
