Went back here recently. As in 2015 – 2016, I’m not sure. Who cares. Still good food at good prices.

It’s crap! Have any you ever been to Greece? The food here should come with a warning label. Bread, rice, potatoes… and grease. Carbs and fat. Basically a short trip to an early grave. This isnt the healthy Mediterranean food that we hear about. Stay away.

Picked up food from this great place in STEVESTON last night where I have eaten before. The food was simply delicious and at a great value. The lambs chops are amazing

While it’s a great place for action or a romantic setting – it’s nice enough – , this review is based just on their desserts. Unlike most places for takeout where you can sit and wait in the front, you have to go all the way to the back and wait there. I wasn’t lucky on this nite, no place to sit. It’s been here in Steveston for decades, and it kinda shows too with the décor. At these prices, George’s Taverna would be a better bet; more casual, offers delivery, and easy to order online for prompt service. Ekmek better than the bougatsa, but didn’t come close to Greek Taverna in New West, much more flufflier. Bougatsa didn’t have much flavour, too light; fine for those who don’t like it too sweet. Washrooms kinda interesting, it’s a long hallway like if you’re in an office building. Clean, nevertheless.

As far as Greek food goes for the area, Kisamos serves up solid food where one leaves feeling satisfied. I’ve had the lamb, calamari, and chicken dishes in my visits there. I’d say they were good to excellent. The calamari has been somewhat of a hit and miss — sometimes very good and sometimes a bit bland and soggy. Food portions are generous(similar to Stephos). Service is almost non-existent — one star demerit for that. I typically have to wait about ten minutes to place my order, never had my water refilled, never asked if my food was good or if I needed anything, and, at my last visit, had to ask twice for the bill. Décor is pretty typical traditional Greek. It’s looks a bit dated and worn — the odd odor you smell upon entering supports the visual. Overall, because the food is pretty good I’d still come here if I had a craving for Greek food and I was in the Steveston area. However, I wouldn’t go to the trouble of driving across town as there’s others that serve up just as good food and have better service.

Found this place on Unilocal and so glad that I decided to try it on Easter Day. We normally have lamb on Easter so I decided to try the lamb roast. It was delicious. So tender and fell right off the bone. Amazing price for everything you get. I would say that you can probably have 1 dish for 2 people. The only thing is that I’m use to tzatziki that is more garlicky and this one was more lemony, still very good. We also have the tyropita and spanakopita. Everything was great. I will definitely go back and also recommend this place.

This is one of the best Greek restaurants that I’ve ever been to! Not only was the service quick and attentive, the food came out and was paid for in under 45 minutes! That has to be some sort of record! I ordered the Roast Lamb(15.95) with potatoes, Greek salad, and rice. The rice was amazing! It was soft, whilst not being a mushy mass, but tasted almost creamy. The potatoes had a very similar consistency to the rice but had a nice lemony taste to them. These two really push the plate into starch overload, so beware of a carb crash later on! The salad was very fresh and unlike some places that may load up on the olive oil, this one only had a nice drizzle. The lamb was the real star of the show though! It was very well seasoned, fall-apart tender, and in the saucier bits, I found it to be a bit minty. The great thing about the sauce is that it cuts through the gamey taste that’s usually found in Lamb as to pretty much make it inert. The pita bread was very dense and a bit nutty from what I expect is whole grains. It was a bit on the bland side though. Overall, if you want a prompt, delicious meal, and are in the Steveston area, would recommend!

This little gem Greek restaurant in Steveston is the place to go if you are craving lamb, souvlaki, salad, sangria… Quaint setting, great service, friendly atmosphere. My favourite is the Greek salad the the hummus. It is made to perfection. If you are looking for a bigger meal one of the souvlaki dishes should fill you up, I always leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Best Greek food in the city. Highly recommended. So popular you might want to make a reservation on the weekends !

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Great staff and service. Food is consistent. My family and I always go here when we’re in the mood for Greek food. This place is amazing and a great place to relax during the summer.

Freshest, tastiest grilled lamb chops I’ve ever had! Portions are huge. Mine had four chops, rice pilaf, a big(peeled) baked potato half and some veg. Enough food for two of me. My first dinner in British Columbia did not disappoint! The owner even checked in on us. The kitchen is visible from the dining area and you can see the cooks calmly and almost reverently(maybe it’s my imagination) preparing the dishes. In any case it sure translated into delectable Greek food. The décor is dated but the place is clean. I’ll take yummy food over trendy décor any day. This is in the picturesque seaside area of Richmond BC where they filmed«Once Upon A Time.» Highly recommended by locals and us tourists alike. The server was clearly tired(we came in late) but gamely served us and took care of every request.

Went there Saturday night and ordered a Kisamos Platter for me and my wife. It was for 2 people but more like four or five could dig in. The platter had a lot in it but only the Lamb Chops caught my attention as it was really good. The other items in the platter aside from the chops, calamari and souvlaki were too exotically Greek for us and the calamari was too soggy and didn’t have any crunch to it. Good service though.

Best lamb dinner and kalamari dinner in richmond. Great breading and plump fresh tender squid with excellent tzatziki and rice. The lamb dinner is delicious as well. Tender and seasoned well without being too salty. The portions are huge also. Usually great food and large portions are a rare combo. I would recommend this place.

Have gone here a handful of times and the service has always been mediocre. I highly recommend the pork souvlaki! It’s juicy and tender! Their potatoes are also delicious. Cooked to perfection and seasoned well.

Unseasoned food. Poor service. Requested the empty table by the window and the response was«we can’t move tables around, it’s like a map». The stupidity was almost worse than the piece of plastic I found in my tzatziki. Seriously, there was plastic with printed words in the dip. Ie from the prepackaged container they scooped it out of. Will never go again or recommend. Try Felico’s.

I came here 5 years ago and didn’t think it was as great but just visited again tonight and had a great time. The portions are HUGE so bring your A-game. 3 of us ordered the Kisamos Platter for 2 and we were not able to finish. This platter would be enough for 4. The platter includes the moussaka, lamb chops, kalamari, tiropites, keftethes, pork and chicken souvlaki, humus and tzatziki. The only disappointing thing was the pita bread and our dessert which was good but not awesome. This place was packed and lots of people ordered take-out throughout the night. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall, a really great Greek restaurant in Richmond. I usually come here with my wife and we get the dinner for 2 combo, which comes with a good variety of food — fairly large servings. From what I remember, I am pretty full by the end of the meal and I eat a lot. I think their calamari is just so-so. The rest of their food is good though. I like to get their lamb chops and moussaka. Other greek places you could look at in Richmond are George’s Taverna(also in Steveston) or Mad Greek(by Gilbert and Westminster).

This place used to be amazing, but I felt that the quality has dropped a bit lately. I haven’t eaten at Kisamos for a while but I did notice that their prices went up a bit while their portions may have possibly shrank? We found everything quite average, but better than Stepho’s in downtown. To be honest, we don’t have much to compare to so perhaps we’re just not fans of Greek food? However, I have had amazing greek salads at nicer restaurants and I could probably eat several bowls of them if I could! The greek salad here was okay and I felt that the highlight of the meal was the calamari. However, only half of the plate was tender and delicious while the other half was a bit chewy and overcooked. The lamb was decent as well but a bit inconsistent. There were succulent pieces of meat on one side, while the other side was a bit dry and tough. Overall, the portions are still quite large and the service is good.

We had friends arrive from California. They are vegetarians so I searched Unilocal for ‘Vegetarian’ in Steveston. Kisamos came up and based on the Unilocal reviews we headed on our way. Glad we did. I had the Lamb chops(not a vegetarian) and our guest had the Spanakopita and was really pleased. The portions are huge. I have spent time in Greece mostly Santorini(this group has beer from Santorini) where friends of the family ran a restaurant and hotel etc. I think this Steveston group knows traditional Greek flavors. First impressions are really good. We’ll be back. Great value for price I think. Thanks to the Unilocal community. Folks live in Steveston and yet we have never been to this establishment.

Located on the quieter end of Steveston. The place was very busy. Had a line up out the door. But this isn’t a very big restaurant. Décor is lacking here and the seating is very tight between tables I had the Greek meatballs which I found a bit dry and lacking in taste. The potato was alright. Nothing to write home about. The best part of my dish was the rice. Also had the calamari which was the saving grace of this meal. Coffee was bland. Probably one of the worst cup of coffee I had anywhere. Not saying that I’m a coffee connoisseur or anything. Price wise I would say it’s reasonably price. It just too bad the food wasn’t better.
